  that was something all of his brothers had told me. so naturally, i was surprised when someone knocked on my bedroom door the second the clock hit midnight on 13th February.

 "Happy Valentine's Day, heiress," Jameson said. oh i was going to have some with us. i looked at him blankly. "What?" he asked, confused. "You never asked me to be your valentine," i said innocently. "Will you be my valentine?" he asked, slightly annoyed. "Ask nicely," i said. "Ugh, fine. will you, Avery Kylie Gambs, do me the honor of being my valentine?" he asked again. "Much better. let me think about it," i said, i was having way too much fun. i pretended to be in deep thought.
