bUT liek actually tho I bought the first 3 books of All For The Game on vibes alone (as I do with most books I buy). I been seeing some of the art y'all been doing and had an incredibly vague idea of what it was about, but I had NO IDEA of what I was getting myself into.

Anyway, I've just finished the first book and I'm not disappointed but tw bc its so violent like poor Neil ;-;

So, before the resurrection, Willow wore a mask because their beak had been blown to bits by an arrow. And I love the idea that as a ghost Will's beak has bits of debris floating around it, possibly reforming and breaking off every once in a while, like they want it to be back to normal but it's not something that can be fixed (DON'T LOOK AT WHISP, THAT IS NOT WHAT 'FIXED' LOOKS LIKE).

Or, ghost Willow or Whisp have golden marks across their beak like those beautiful japanese (?) kintsugi, which is a method that glues shattered pottery back together with gold or silver with the concept that there's beauty in the broken.

First of all, I think Spink is such a fantastic name, and I will not be hearing bad of my boy Spinrek Kester.

Second of all, WHY'D THEY DO HIM DIRTY LIKE THAT?? NO ONE WARNED ME-

Third of all, I'm like 5 chapters into the second book (Forest Mage) and I am in so much pain reading this someone tell me it gets better. Robin Hobb is good at what she does but damn I am SO uncomfortable rn. ITS INFESTING MY DREAMS,, THERES NO ESCAPE.

Tell me it gets better this hurts.

I think my recent addiction to Ravenswatch is consuming me (It's infested my dreams. I can't stop!!)
