so um...apparently w.i.t.c.h is getting a reboot in the form of a visual novel and I've seen a couple videos of people dunking on the artstyle a lot

and I literally do no see the issue like shit shit's cute as fuck what do you mean this looks bad/bland?????

also I'll 100% get myself into some hot water with this opionion, but I've always been a hater for their original magic form outfits, like the colours never really vibed for me and the blocky striped leggings that all of them had didn't help at all

so this is a total upgrade in my book especially considering that they'll probably get a power upgrade later down the line that'll make them look fancier. For a base/first form this is totally fine and I LOVE that they swapped the stripes for these swirly flowy patterns and that the outfits better represent their personalities/ interests where as the originals pre-powerup always kinda looked like an unstructured mess to me with too much going on at once while at the same time being bland as fuck somehow

#not gonna fandom tag it because I like being alive #like honestly it bothers me how every time they announce a reboot of something people are only interested in ripping it to shreds right awa #especially people who were fans of the original #like babes this isn't even out in english yet maybe have a sit and wait until you can actually read it before you dunk on it #I saw this a lot in the n/nja turtles fandom when rise came out #with a lot of 2012 fans dunking on rise simply for it's artstyle and flat out refusing to watch it simply because it wasn't the same as 201 #and then go online to trashtalk something they haven't even seen like they're experts on the plot #if the artstyle of every reboot were the exact same as the first version people would also throw hissyfits #for “trying too hard to be like the original” and for them not being able to come up with something new #also I wanna make it clear that this is PURELY about the artstyle in the case of w/tch because so far the visual novel is #only out in 3 languages. those being italian. french and polish and In read/speak none of those #I grew up with the original (both comics and show) and we allready know that there are some changes universe wise #so I'll wait til it'S out in eng or ger and give it a read then #but so far the artstyle is nice and I don't really see why people are complaining other than nostaliga not being met
