When it first appeared in Diamond and Pearl, Rotom was kind of an odd Pokemon. A lot of people initially mistook it for a Legendary, since there’s only one hiding away in a TV inside the Old Chateau... and it also happened to have the Legendary battle theme for some reason. In truth, it’s apparently a somewhat uncommon, normal Pokemon... that soon became able to change forms in the following version!
