No because why do these two pictures have the same energy 😭
I really don't think he means for it to look this way, but he does this cute little thing where he goes up to as many people as he can after the game and babbles about how well they played and wishing them good health and a good season and all that, and the other person can't really get in a word edgewise, so it just kinda looks like he's consoling them or something and the fact he can get kinda huggy and tactile doesn't help. Swear he doesn't mean any harm he's just an earnest little bean 😭

Shance Carnival
The words played in his mind over and over, but he couldn't comprehend them. It had been about an hour now and he was still on the first sentence. Lance hated studying and his mind decided that today he was not going to focus. Lance looked over at his coffee and saw how the steam still rised out of the burning liquid. Lance was sick of coffee. That was his fourth cup that he had made that day. He needed a distraction.
He groaned as he continued to read the material. Why did astrophysics have to be so boring? It's not like Lance didn't enjoy it, he just didn't like studying it. He wanted to do calculations and labs, not read the horrible textbooks written by long dead men. They didn't make it interesting. And that wasn't the only thing that was distracting him. Lance eyed the small black box that sat in the left corner of his desk. He grabbed it and opened it, even though he knew what was inside. He picked up the small gold ring and fiddled with it in his fingers. He had know idea how he was going to propose to his boyfriend. He loved him so much and wanted to be with him for the rest of his life, but he was so scared of rejection. He forcefully got his mind off the ring and put it back, closed the lid, and slid the box into his pocket and attempted to study some more.
Lance did a small triumphant ‘Woop!’ as he moved on to the second sentence. He then felt strong arms wrap around his small torso. He instinctively leaned back into the arms, knowing that they belonged to his boyfriend, Shiro.
"How is it coming along?"
"I hate studying! I can't focus and all I want to do is something fun!" he whined and finally looked back to meet his sympathetic eyes.
"Well, since you find complaining so fun, you could do that o-"
"I just hate how astrophysics is so fun but the text books are soooo boring! It's no fair!" Lance said, cutting of Shiro. Shiro then continued with his sentence before Lance started ranting passionately.
"Or, as I was saying, we could go to the fair. I got tickets from a friend and we haven't gone an a date in a while, so would you like to go?" Shiro said with a hint of shyness in his voice, like he was afraid of getting rejected. Lance hugged his boyfriend and began to pepper him in kisses and saying "Thank you so much" in between them.
"I'm taking that as a yes?"
"Of course! I haven't been to the fair in years! We should get cotton candy! And funnel cake! Ooh, we could try to win each other stuffed animals! Hurry up, I want to go!" Lance huffed, already putting on his shoes and grabbing a jacket. Shiro chuckled at his adorable boyfriend. How did he get so lucky? Before bolting out the door, Lance turned around and gave Shiro a small 'thank you' kiss and held his hand. Shiro intertwined his fingers with Lance's and walked right next to him.
On the way there, Lance could only ramble about what they would do. How many rides they would go on, how much cotton candy they would eat, who would win stuffed animals for the other. And all Shiro could do was stare at his blabbering boyfriend. His heart swelled so much when he looked at him and he was so glad that he wasn't driving. At one point, Lance caught him staring but just laughed and gave Shiro a peck that would have soon turned into a full on make out session if it wasn't for the car honking at them. Lance flipped the guy off.
Once they arrived, Lance dragged Shiro as fast as he could to the ticket booth and had him give the lady the already payed for tickets. Once she stamped their hands, Lance dragged him again, but this time to the roller coaster. Shiro happened to be the more excited one when it came to the roller coaster. On the scariest parts, he was whooping in excitement and had his hands in the air, while Lance clung onto him with "fear", which was really just an excuse to hang onto his large boyfriend. After the roller coaster was the zipper, which actually scared Lance and he didn't let go of Shiro for a good ten minutes. Then they rode the Gravatron seventeen times in a row until they were asked to move on to a new ride. After that, they took a break to get food. Lance got three things of cotton candy while Shiro got a funnel cake to share. Lance ended up wiping powdered sugar all over Shiro and he retaliated by throwing some in Lance's face. They ended up kissing powdered sugar off each other's noses.
"Shiro! Shiro! Look! If I hit the target seven times in a row, I could win you a teddy bigger than me!" Lance said while jumping up and down.
"Babe, they're rigged. It's almost impossible, but if you want to, you can,"
"Don't worry! In high school, they called me the sharpshooter because of my deadly accuracy with spitballs,"
"That... doesn't surprise me..."
So Lance paid the amount that was required and he was given the seven balls.
"Okay, you get three tries. If you miss once, you try again. Do you understand?" said the apathetic booth owner who liked like he would much rather be smoking pot than running the dumb game. Lance nodded excitedly.
Lance took his aim and began to throw. First: hit. Second: hit. Third: hit. Fourth: hit. Fifth: hit. At this point, Shiro was pleasantly surprised at Lance's accuracy. Maybe he could actually win it. Sixth: hit. Seventh: miss. Lance groaned at his slip up.
"Come on babe, you got two more tries! You can win this!" Shiro said; he was getting into this and really wanted Lance to win.
First: hit. Second: hit. Third: hit. Fourth: hit. Fifth: hit. Sixth: hit. Seventh: hit. Lance started jumping up and down and was squealing like a little kid. The apathetic booth guy took down the giant teddy bear and handed it to Lance with a huff. See, Lance isn't small. He's exactly six feet tall. The teddy bear was a couple inches taller than him. Lance struggled to walk with the bear and not drag it in the dirt, so Shiro carried it. Shiro was 6'6 and he even had a bit of a struggle with the bear.
"Who even needs a bear this size?"
"Winners. That's who need this bear. And, Shiro, we are winners,"
Shiro chuckled at his adorable boyfriend and leaned down and placed a kiss on his head.
They walked back to their car and threw the bear in the backseat and went on a night drive before returning to their dorm. Shiro drive them down to a little dock were they sat on the edge of it and held hands while their feet dipped into the water.
"Was this date better then studying astrophysics?"
"Shiro, anything is better than studying astrophysics,"
"But did you have fun? I want to know if we can do something like this again,"
"Of course I had fun! You're my boyfriend! I would go on almost any date just to be with you! You always act like I'm going to break up with you at any moment. Why do you act like that?"
"Because I feel like you're to good for me. Every time I look at you I fall in love with you all over again. And I feel inadequate," Shiro said, looking down at the water. Lance felt his heart a jump and be leaned in and kissed him. He kissed him on his cheek, his forehead, his nose, then his lips.
"I love you Shiro. Don't forget that, okay?" Shiro gave him a small smile that Lance began to kiss into a bigger one. Lance's hand that wasn't holding Shiro's drifted down to his pocket and gripped the small box that was there. Lance knew it was a good time to pop the question. His hand slid into the pocket and gripped the box tight as he pulled away from the kiss.
"Hey, uh..., I know this is sudden, but for the past couple months I've been feeling different. Like, spending time with you, it's different. And i know we've only dated for two and half years, but, uh, I don't think I want to be your boyfriend anymore," Lance paused to take a deep breath and he stood up and got on one knee and opened the small box.
"So, Takashi Shirogane, will you marry me?" Lance heard a large gasp and then felt himself get pulled into a strong hug.
"Yes! Yes! Oh god, I thought you were breaking up with me but you weren't and of course I would love to marry you!" Shiro said while looking into the eyes of his new fiance. Lance was beaming as he closed the space between them with a kiss.
"Thank you,"
"Why are you thanking me? I fell in love with you, so technically you're the one that made this possible. I should be thanking you,"
"You're such a dork, but you're my dork,"
Lance was so glad that Shiro took him on this date for a distraction.
"I love you,"
"I love you, too, Lance."
