the other thing abt MCU amerikate is that not only is them making Kate much older than America definitely a "keep the gay kids young enough where we don't have to make them gay" but I wouldn't be surprised if it was also to keep people from shipping them. I'm SURE they know abt the comics queerbaiting of Kate. It's absolutely deliberate and we shouldn't be using it as an excuse for Marvel (the comics)'s bs.
