if schools still taught shop class, I might have figured out I love building things a lot sooner
#and it's useful skills for people to have even if they don't want to go into trade skills#keep shop class!!! keep home ec!!! fund the arts!!!#stop fucking narrowing everything down to STEM and what's determined by standardized testing and ACT / SATs#our students will come out of high school a LOT more well-rounded if we keep classes like this#and also!! having classes that involve physical activity and making things with your hands is great bc it breaks up just having classes#that involve sitting at a desk and reading/writing
