Caleb Williams: 2022 Heisman Trophy Winner
Tumblr media
Sophomore quarterback Caleb Williams from the University of Southern California was announced as the 88th winner of the Heisman Memorial Trophy during ESPN’s 2022 Heisman Trophy Ceremony Presented by Nissan on Saturday (Dec. 10), originating from Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, N.Y.
Williams, joined in New York tonight by fellow finalists Stetson Bennett of Georgia, Max Duggan of TCU and C.J. Stroud of Ohio State, is now USC’s seventh Heisman winner and the second straight sophomore to win the award following Alabama’s Bryce Young in 2021.
“To the men standing behind me, thank you for your passion to the game,” said Williams before hoisting his trophy. “Because kids like me have dreams and goals of being the best from watching you all.
USC’s previous winners include Matt Leinart (2004), Carson Palmer (2002), Marcus Allen (1981), Charles White (1979), O.J., Simpson (1968) and Mike Garrett (1965).
He is the sixth sophomore to win the Heisman, the 19th quarterback in the last 22 years to win the Heisman and the 38th quarterback overall.
This marks the third Heisman winner to play for USC Head Coach Lincoln Riley, who was the head coach at Oklahoma when Baker Mayfield (2017) and Kyler Murray (2018) became Heisman winners.
The 6-foot-1 Williams, who was named the 2022 AP Player of the Year in addition to winning the Maxwell and Walter Camp Awards earlier this week, has thrown for 4,075 yards on 296-of-448 passing (66.1%) with a national co-leading 37 touchdown passes against just four interceptions. His passing yards is fourth-most nationally, his quarterback rating (167.94) is fifth-best and his passing yards per game (313.5) is sixth-best.
Williams, who led USC to an 11-2 season after the Trojans went 4-8 in 2021, is third nationally in total offense with 4,447 yards with a total that broke USC’s school record (4,225, 2017). He has also rushed for 372 yards (the most at USC in at least 70 years) on 109 carries with a team-best 10 TDs.
Williams’ 47 total touchdowns lead the country, as do his 282 points responsible for while his total touchdowns are a school record. He threw for over 300 yards seven times, including twice over 400 yards.
Williams’ passing yards (4,075) is the eighth-most among Heisman winners, his 47 total touchdowns (49) are ninth most, his total offense (4,447) and quarterback rating (167.94) are 11th-most in Heisman history.
Williams is the second Heisman winner to wear No. 13 and the first since Miami winner Gino Torretta in 1992.
The 2022 Heisman Trophy ballots went out to 929 electors, which includes 870 members of the media, our 58 living Heisman winners and one overall fan vote presented by Nissan, premier partner of the Heisman Trophy. All ballots were submitted electronically to the independent accountants at Deloitte.

Everything you need to know about the 2021 federal election
It's on. On Sunday, Justin Trudeau called a federal election, kicking off just over five weeks of campaigning before Canadians vote on Sept. 20.
Who will you be voting for, and when, and where? When will the leaders vying to be prime minister debate each other? How will the pandemic change the race? And what is CTV News offering to keep you on top of the national election campaign?
All of those answers and more are below. Be sure to bookmark our election page for all the latest news, and video of the daily campaign events.
And, subscribe to our daily election newsletter for quick campaign rundowns each evening.
Where can I read what each party is proposing?
On CTVNews.ca we are keeping track of and analyzing each party's major promises, and will soon be rolling out a special tracker to keep your informed.
How do I stay on top of the polling numbers?
There's a few ways you can do that. We will have daily updates from pollster Nik Nanos. These will show the latest standings of every party in public opinion, on our main election page.
As well, Nanos and CTVNews.ca’s Michael Stittle will be diving deeper into the polling data three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) on CTV News’ podcast, Trend Line. Subscribe now to not miss any of the quick but insightful check-ins on the public mood of Canadians during the campaign.
What about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and precautions parties are taking?
All parties have said they will be following all of the COVID-19 public health protocols that apply in the province or region they are visiting. While a handful of provinces have held elections since the pandemic was declared, this will be the first national tour seeing leaders and a contingent of staff and reporters travelling with them. Already, candidates from all sides have been out door knocking and holding smaller in-person and outdoor events.
As the pandemic situation evolves we’ll be keeping a close eye on how the campaign strategies shift.
  When is voting day?
The official election day Sept. 20 across Canada. Polling places will be open for 12 hours, with the time varying, depending on what province you are in.
  Who can vote?
Canadian citizens who are 18 years of age or older can vote, so long as you're able to prove your identity and address.
If you do not have ID, an elector registered to the same polling station can vouch for you, so long as you declare your ID and address and that person has not vouched for anyone else. There is an exception in the case of long-term care facilities, where there is an ability for someone to vouch for more than one person.
You can use your voter information card as proof of address, but you'll also need additional ID, whether a utility bill, or a student ID card, or bank statement, for example.
If you have a driver's licence or other government ID that has your photo, your name and current address, then you only need that one piece, but still bring your voter information card with you.
You can check to see if you are registered to vote, here.
  Can I vote in advance?
Yes. While there had been some consideration to an extended weekend voting period, there will be just one election day. But, you can also cast your ballot in-person in at polling places across the country on:
Friday, Sept. 10
Saturday, Sept. 11
Sunday, Sept. 12
Monday, Sept. 13
Click here to find your polling place.
You can also vote early by submitting a “special ballot,” which you have to apply online for, but can be mailed in or delivered to your local Elections Canada offices. Expecting an uptick in mail-in ballots, Elections Canada will also have special drop boxes inside polling places where the special ballot can be submitted up until the time polls close on election day.
How do I know what riding I am in?
You can find out what riding you are in, by entering your postal code, here. There has not been a riding redistribution since the 2015 election, so if you haven't moved, it'll be the same riding as the last time you voted for your Member of Parliament.
How do I found out who the candidates in my riding are?
Click here and you can see everyone that has registered with Elections Canada to be on the ballot in your riding.
As well, CTVNews.ca is compiling a series of riding profiles, looking at the hotly contested ridings, tight races, and places where interesting candidates are fighting for a seat. Stay tuned for our ridings to watch feature.
Why do I vote for local representation and not the prime minister?
In Canada, we have a parliamentary democracy. There are currently 338 seats in the House of Commons, one for a representative from each of the 338 ridings. The 105 members in the Senate are appointed, and not elected.
The electoral system we follow is called first past the post (FPTP), meaning that the candidate with the most votes in each riding is elected to that seat. Generally speaking, the party who has the most elected representatives forms government, and the leader of that party becomes the prime minister. The party with the second-most elected representatives becomes the Official Opposition.
In order to form a majority government, the party with the most seats needs to have more than half of the seats in the House of Commons, so in the current context: 170 seats. If no one party elects 170 MPs, then it will be a minority Parliament, with the party with the highest number of seats looking to form government. Minorities are generally more volatile as their stability relies on cross-party agreements or support to be able to advance policy.
What happens to Parliament and government during a campaign?
As soon as the election was called, the current Parliament was dissolved, meaning all business before the House and Senate gets wiped away, and the House essentially ceases to exist, meaning there won’t be a sitting, and no documents can be tabled.
In this case, the 43rd Parliament has come to an end, and after the election the 44th will begin. Any bills or motions that a returning member wants to advance, have to be re-introduced.
The government, and the bureaucracy in each federal department and agency enter into what's called "caretaker" mode, where the general approach is to keep the lights on and the machinery of government humming.
During this period, government decisions and announcements are restricted to routine, non-controversial, emergency or urgent matters in the public interest, easily reversible by a new government, or agreed to by the opposition parties.
  When are the official debates?
The Debate Broadcast Group will be holding two official leaders’ debates, both taking place at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Que.
The French-language debate will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, and the English debate will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9.
For the first time, a Debates Commissioner led the efforts to organize two national leaders' debates during the election, one in French and one in English.
Both debates are happening at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Que. and each will be moderated by five journalists.
We will have live coverage of the debates across CTV News platforms, including real-time fact checking of what the leaders are saying.
What concerns are there about disinformation in this election?
The COVID-19 pandemic ushered in a new era of disinformation, one that has fuelled the growth of online communities devoted to using conspiracy theories and deceptive information to bolster political movements.
In the lead up to the campaign, Canadian security agencies cautioned that this so-called "infodemic" has created new narratives for online groups to amplify falsehoods and decrease confidence in elections or weaken trust in democratic institutions with the help of social media.
And although social media companies have taken steps to combat the spread of misinformation, experts say Canadians should be more on-guard than ever for divisive online campaigns that aim to sway opinion.
CTVNews.ca is publishing regular "Truth Tracker" features where we fact check information being spread online. See a story or post circulating on social media that you think may be disinformation or in need of fact-checking? Let us know by sharing with us the link to the post or the source of the information. You can email us by clicking here or visit our Newsbreaker page.
CTV National News will also be regularly digging in to disinformation and the promises the leaders make.

Fic Writer Interview
Tagged by: @irolltwenties ❤️ thank you so much my dear!
Name(s):  L , lambourn on AO3, lambourngb here.
Fandom(s): Roswell New Mexico, a very long time ago, Smallville, and lost to the ages, baseball.
Where you post: AO3 is where just about everything lives. The only things that are tumblr specific at the moment are sneak peaks at future works and my Michael Week AU - the “This Hard” series that will be under one title -  “This Hard Love” - once I finish it. 🤞
Most Popular One Shot (by kudos)
This year : Leave the Fire Burning , my post-season 2 sex pollen getting back together fic.  This was also one of my first stories to be in Michael’s POV.
Overall: it’s still my first finished work here, truth (to the people we love) - that I posted in Nov 2019. Probably the most ideal way to enter a fandom, lots of great people warmly welcomed me in and I still get emotional thinking about it.

Most Popular Multi-Chapter (by kudos)
Overall: last year’s wishes are this year’s apologies - if I’m known by one story, it’s this one and you know what, I’m okay with it. This story changed my fandom life and honestly, my confidence level. I’m extremely harsh on myself, and often hate something once it’s done, so when I reread the epilogue just the other day, I thought “this is still good, well done L” that’s unique for me. This year:
 See above.
Favorite story you’ve written so far:
Oh I would say “Leave the Fire Burning” because I wrote it very quickly almost in a trance. 2020 has been a challenging year for writing for the most part, long battles with days of only a 100 words here or there, but that story was basically 20 K in 10 days. A runner up is you give me a good reason to be heartsick again (let me down easy) - my salty post season 2 co-write with Christi @michaels-blackhat where we made fun of the narrative surrounding Forrest and Forlex for almost 6,000 words. I haven’t done a co-write in years, and Christi was game for it and so gracious about my bossy participation ❤️...
Fic you were nervous to post: All of them, but I would say my upcoming Big Bang is giving me butterflies since it references a lot of what happened in season 2, and generally the fandom response to season 2 is pretty polarizing?
How do you choose your titles?: Song titles generally, or sometimes it’s a song lyric that I misremember? Like “Leave the Fire Burning” is related to a Noah Gunderson song “Fire Don’t Die”. I also liked to repurpose lines of dialog from the show into titles, like “truth (to the people we love)” was cannibalized from Michael’s speech to Isobel, “maybe it’s time to tell the truth to the people we love”. And “If You Regret (What You Know) was from Michael’s conversation with Alex in 1x10. Yes, I’m going to continue to abuse punctuation in my titles.
Do you outline?: Yes, absolutely. The outline is allowed to change, with inserted scenes or scenes that get blended together but every project that I’ve made some progress on has an outline that I write within. I like to use brackets, and write just above it, so I can see my goals as a go and to keep my focus.
Complete: 6 works, soon to be 7 when the Big Bang goes live.
In-Progress:  *laughs uncontrollably* A LOT. I’ve somehow acquired a circle of friends who are constantly dropping soft and sad head canons on me and then it turns into a fic idea. Right now, I’m working on “This Hard Love” to finish by the end of the year. Next up after that, I want to finish my epilogue to “Last Year’s Wishes”, write the Michael POV scenes that others have requested previously, and then dive into my LYW prequel/Lost Decade epic “prettier and younger, but not any better off”. Also smaller projects in the works, some AUs - like Michael is a guitar maker and Alex is a Nashville star called “Summon Out of These Hollow Places” - @haloud , @adiwriting and @christchex are firmly to blame for that project, along with “Dress Blues (hold me lover, this ain’t an arms race) - Michael becomes Alex’s military spouse and follows him around. I also started a really dark, torture Michael story for @ninswhimsy called “Piece by Piece” where Mr. Jones basically trades Michael to be experimented on and Alex & Maria go undercover to save him. And finally, I’ve got “Why Can’t I Change” - Michael dating during season 3 with background Forlex, and my really sad epic “Grave Dancer’s Union” where Sanders is dying and Michael is his caretaker.
Coming soon/not yet started:  All of the above have some words, outlines, etc. Not yet started- stuff like a coma AU, where Jesse puts Alex into a longterm care facility when he’s a teenager and Michael “meets” him because he’s visiting Isobel after the drifter’s attack. “Pressing on a bruse (we can heal)” is my sequel to “Truth” that has taken me forever but still planned, Duty of Care needs some reworking to turn it into a canon-divergent AU, same with “Gather Your Skeletons” my attempt at a soul-bond fic for Malex.
Prompts?: I’ve still got a few in my ask box that are old enough to vote, and as you all can see, I’ve got a lot of google docs in progress. So sure, you can submit, but I don’t know if I’ll get there. I’m better at answering questions about WIPs in progress- like I’ve definitely written more on some of those WIPs just from that last meme that went around. So sending me a nudge about something in progress might get you a sneak peek faster than sending me a whole prompt. With RNM there’s always a chance something will happen and turn you off of the fandom before I can fill the prompt submitted.
Upcoming work you’re most excited about: I would say my prequel to LYW. It’s looking quite long, especially the sections where Michael transitions from sneaker and jeans to jeans and cowboy boots with a big belt buckle. I’ve got a lot of horse knowledge I can’t wait to bore everyone with !

The completely unnecessary news analysis
by Christopher Smart

BERNIE BROS BE PISSED & WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE ERA
Supporters of Bernie Sanders are more than a little chafed at other Democrats who are taking an “anyone-but-Bernie” stance and they're letting folks know in no uncertain terms: “you A-holes.” Supporters of Bloomberg, Buttigieg, Klobachar, Warren and Biden say Bernie can't beat Trump because the Name-Caller-In-Chief will label him as a Marxist dog and scare the bejesus out of voters. Many also say Mayor Pete can't beat Trump because he's gay. Rush Limbaugh already has started in on Buttigieg for kissing his husband in public. Oh, Lordy. Evangelicals are hugging their Bibles. Elizabeth Warren has dropped in the polls, largely because she has a plan for just about everything and that's confusing to American voters who hate details. They're more into stuff like, “Make America Great Again.” Poor Joe Biden has hit the skids, too. Old Joe's jokes have gotten stale and aviator sunglasses have gone out of style. Amy Klobuchar is a good, Midwestern woman with a nice smile who knows how to milk a cow. But she's a little too nice and doesn't have the money that Michael Bloomberg has. And now we find out that the New York billionaire had the horribly racist “Stop-N-Frisk” policing policy when he was mayor of the Big Apple, so he can't get the African-American vote. And it's just been revealed that Bloomberg hates babies and puppies. But hey, don't lose hope: The staff here at Smart Bomb has come up with a bumpersticker for Dems: “Miracles Do Happen.”
WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE ERA
It's been 48 years since the Equal Rights Amendment was submitted to Congress in October 1971. It passed both houses and was ratified by 35 of the necessary 38 states. But it died after a decade of fierce debate. The arguments in the Beehive State were as contentious as anywhere. In the end, Utah did not ratify. Why not? What's wrong with an amendment that seeks equal rights for women and men? Our crack research team here at Smart Bomb dove into the archives to find the answers then and now:
1 – If the ERA becomes law, women will have to use urinals.
2 – If the ERA becomes law, men will have to wear bras and lipstick and fix dinner.
3 – God created special roles for men and women: men wear pants and drink beer; women wear skirts and drink tea (and don't belch).
4 – If the ERA passes, women will have to go into combat and share foxholes with horny men without condoms who are trained to kill.
5 – If the ERA is ratified, women can become president. Yikes!
6 – If the ERA becomes law, workplace sex could cease to exist.
7 – Or, it could mean that workplace sex would get out of control with women jumping men in the utility closet. OMG.
8 – If the ERA becomes a reality, young Mormon women will go on religious missions.
9 – If the ERA is ratified, women will become astronauts and orbit the Earth and feel superior to men.
10 – And the very worst part of the ERA, according to Utah Sen. Mike Lee, is that it is part of a “radical pro-abortion agenda.” Yeah, damnit, it's “an Orwellian mischaracterization of what it would do,” Lee said, because it will allow women to have abortions but not men.
HEY, ALEXA, GET OUT OF MY FACE
Your friend Alexa, who helps you play music, turn off the TV and put on the bedroom lights, may not be as warm-hearted you think. Amazon has big plans for its virtual assistant. Sooner than you think, Alexa — or one of her siblings — will be directing our lives — it’ll interpret our data and make decisions for us, according to Rohit Prasad, the scientist in charge of Alexa‘s development. George Orwell was distressed about Big Brother, but he couldn't imagine we would willingly invite him or Big Sister into our lives with such giddy anticipation. The aim is to turn Alexa into an omnipresent companion that shapes our lives. You might find yourself in an argument with Alexa on what music to play or what to watch on TV or which car to buy. Yep, it's “2001: A Space Odyssey” all over again. HAL has collected all your data and now, there is no real reason for you to exist — well wait, Alexa does want your money, but you don't have to worry your lil’ head about that, she'll tell you how to spend it.
BILL BARR: I WON'T BE BULLIED
He's a strong, independent attorney general. President Donald Trump doesn't tell him what to do (except sometimes). Sure, there was that little thing with the Mueller Report that looked to nonpartisan legal beagles like a roadmap to impeachment that Barr announced was vindication. And there is that little matter of reviewing Michael Flynn's case, where he pleaded guilty to the FBI about his contacts with Russians. And just because the attorney general determined that Roger Stone's recommended sentence was far too harsh, doesn't mean he isn't independent.  The fact that Trump tweeted the same thing 12 hours earlier was just a coincidence. Bill Barr is a man of great integrity, depending, of course, on how you define it. OK, maybe critics, who say the Department of Justice is being politicized, have a point. But as President Trump insisted, he can do whatever he wants, including interceding in criminal trials, so it isn't corruption. Whether Bill Barr is an independent attorney general or not, really doesn't matter. (Well, actually it does matter but WTF.) And the president wants to know why that slut Andrew McCabe is off the hook. And why aren't James Comey, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page in jail along with Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff? Where is the justice?
Post Script — That was the week that was. And man, was it strange — that is to say, about normal for the age of Trump. Still, there is no better time to be a “Hooker For Jesus.” (We are not making this up.) DOJ officials rejected grant applications from Catholic Charities and Chicanos Por La Causa. Instead, according to Reuters, it gave more than $1 million to the Lincoln Tubman Foundation and Hookers for Jesus. Don't tell the Evangelicals, they'll freak. Speaking of sinners, Jim Jordan, the rabid congressman from Ohio, is about to be caught up in a sex scandal involving his old wrestling team at Ohio State. Bummer (no pun intended). And the hits just keep coming: Michael Avenatti, who gained fame representing Stormy Daniels, was found guilty of trying to extort $25 million from Nike. But unlike Roger Stone and Michael Flynn, he can't expect a pardon from Donald Trump. Down on the southern border, those darn coyotes already have come up with a new “camouflage ladder” to smuggle people and drugs over Trump's new border wall. The contraptions, made of old, rusted construction rebar, make the climb easy and can't be detected by cameras. Meanwhile, Trump has diverted another $3.8 billion in military funds for his signature achievement. (Mexico won't pay. Duh.) There's more — Trump is dispatching border patrol agents to Sanctuary Cities to root out them horrible immigrants who are doing all our scut work. Adn last but far from least, here in Utah, state legislators are feeling oh so generous after increasing from 0 to 25 percent Salt Lake City's share of property taxes from the Inland Port. That's better than a jab with a sharp stick, but not so charitable when you consider the city should get 100 percent of taxes from its own, damn land. And so it goes.
OK, Wilson, maybe you and the band can take us out with a little something hopeful for our immigrant friends and all the Democrats and everyone else who is on the verge of a nervous breakdown in the age of Trump:
Well, the oppressors are trying to keep me down / Trying to drive me underground / And they think that they have got the battle won / I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they've done / 'Cause, as sure as the sun will shine / I'm gonna get my share now, what's mine / And then the harder they come / The harder they fall, one and all / Ooh, the harder they come / Harder they fall, one and all...

I was so happy for winners like The Americans (highlight of the evening!!!), Regina King, Lady Gaga, Mahershala Ali, Patricia Clarkson, Darren Criss, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek, Olivia Colman and Green Book.  The Cecil B. DeMille award went to Jeff Bridges. The new Carol Burnett award started off with Carol herself. I was saddened that Bill Hader, Henry Winkler, Kieran Culkin, Keri Russell and Sacha Baron Cohen went home empty handed. The Fiji water girl got most of the press and gave much free advertising to her product.  Some of the stars did not like her getting in their shots to push a product without their knowledge, both a clever and sad state of affairs.

The pair played Mother and son previously on The Young and the Restless. Is she really Diana Colville from John’s past??** So Stefan has been played by Tyler Christopher who asked for some time off and a sub was put in place who will take over in March. ***** Despite some people I admire that are giving Alexandria Ocasio Cortez a talking to like she’s a child, I say ‘Give ‘em Hell!’  She could well be President so fight girl!!
***** Word is that Karen Pence is now teaching at the Immanuel School in Virginia. The school refuses admission to students who participate in or condone homosexual activity. The application for the school states that misconduct includes heterosexual activity outside of marriage, homosexual activity, polygamy, transgender identity and use of pornographic websites. The application goes on to state that ‘a wife must submit to her husband’ and a pledge must be signed to that effect.
***** There is controversy over the bill to give people a day off for Election Day. Many people will still have to work, the country never completely shuts down. How many fucking times do I have to say it: VOTE BY MAIL!!!!!!!!!!!
***** So, Scary clown told us Mexico would pay for ‘the wall’. During the campaign he gave actual ideas for that like Mexico giving us a one time payout or else he would not allow Mexican immigrants to western union money back to Mexico. Another idea was that there would be a great ta on that Western union money. It does not seem like they tried any of that and just decided we would pay for the stupid ‘wall.’ How about the money he makes off Trump merch which his website and hotels still sell to pay for it?? How about the $35 million that Trump sold in real estate in 2018? The ‘Wall’ go fund me did not reach its $1billion goal so the $20 million they did collect is being offered for refunds. Some of those people still want that money to go for its purpose so Trump is creating a non- profit. Can’t we use that money to help the border patrol agents and get the backlog in immigration court moving?? That we are still talking about this ridiculous wall and that it had a go fund me page is enough to boggle the normal brain.** I think Kimmel said it best when he suggested that Trump just tell the red hats that the wall has been built.  They believe everything he says so why wouldn’t they believe that??  It would save the country a lot of headaches. ** What the Hell is with his new “wheels and walls” mantra??** Russia caused Brexit too? Putin is a menace.** Another sink hole appeared the White House. WTF?
***** The congressional budget office says the shut down cost the U.S. 11 billion
***** Trump is talking to Herman Cain about a job on the Federal Reserve Board.
***** The GOP is selling fake bricks that cost about 50 cents for $20 each to send to Senate Dems. Some have said that the Dems should sign them and sell them and give the money to government workers. ** Why are Russian jets fucking around on the North American coastline??
***** Roger Stone has been indicted on 5 counts of false statements, 1 count of obstruction and 1 count of witness tampering. The FBI officers who arrested him were part of the shut down and they still did their job!!  He publically and privately claimed to have communicated with Russia. Predictions are that many more indictments are coming down the pike that involve many familiar faces.** Roger Stone has a Nixon tattoo on his back. I feel sorry for his cell mate.-Bill Maher
***** Bill Maher got some flak for comments after Stan Lee died. He wasn’t slamming Lee, but wondered about comic book fans putting away childish things. I suppose that could include weed but point taken.
***** Jared Kushner along with 30 other White House staff was denied top secret clearance but Trump advisor Carl Kline overruled that decision and gave it to them anyway. This has never been done before, this is a job for intelligent agencies.
***** Empire star Jussie Smollett was attacked in Chicago in what cops are saying was a possible hate crime. The attackers were yelling that this was MAGA country, poured bleach on him and put a rope around his neck.  The actor was previously sent a letter full of homophobic and racist slurs which he FBI had been looking into.
***** Ellen page gave us some memorable, powerful words to chew on with her appearance on Stephen Colbert. I am sure she gave courage to many who suffer because of our hate filled administration.
***** Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued from a 2016 ski incident for 3 mil.
***** I gain more and more respect for Seth Meyers. I did not really understand the choice of him as host in the beginning. His notice of local stations, choice of guests and revolving drummers makes for a great show.
***** A Dutch company may have invented a small device that converts heat into cold and Forbes is saying, ‘it could save the planet.’
***** So looking forward to Ryan Murphy’s The Politician which will star Jessica Lange, Gwyneth Paltrow and January Jones.
***** I know that is has happened little by little and we go thru times in our history when things get worse and then things get better but… When did this country get so fucking corrupt?? I mean seriously.. Why is Brendan Dassey still in prison and why is there no real justice for Teresa Halbach? ** Why is Trump still in the White House?**Why are government workers being told to work for nothing?? Why is R Kelly still living it up?? Why are some states going backward in time when it comes to women’s health?? Why do many corporations care more about their own pockets than the children of their employees or the environment around them??** Why does our justice system so often punish big for small infractions and allow the powerful to do anything they want?? **Why is a wall a better idea than infrastructure or warm beds for the homeless or food for our children and why are so many children in cages??
***** How can it be that we are still in a world where people are not allowed to reach their full potential?? Why do so many selfish humans actually fight to live in a world where they actively hold others back? Shouldn’t we all be concerned about the greater good?  We should all be allowed to see a Doctor when we are ill. We should all be able to excel in education if we choose .We should all be able to get a job to fit our skills and work ethic.  Opportunities and the pursuit of happiness should be available to all. Why is this so fucking hard for so many to grasp in this world? Imagine!
***** Sundance premiered the new flick, Big time adolescence with Griffin Gluck and Pete Davidson. Pete has since made no bones about filming in Syracuse. He hated it.
***** Jeff Flake will join CBS news as a contributor.
***** Tom Brokaw is in a bit of trouble for saying Hispanics should work harder at assimilation.
***** The Tom Hanks/ Matthew Rhys film, A beautiful day in the neighborhood has pushed back its release date to Nov. 22.

U.S. Congress submits 18 crypto bills in 2021, Visa buys $150K CryptoPunk, MicroStrategy snaps up more BTC: Hodler’s Digest, Aug. 22-28
Coming every Saturday, Hodler’s Digest will help you track every single important news story that happened this week. The best (and worst) quotes, adoption and regulation highlights, leading coins, predictions and much more — a week on Cointelegraph in one link.
Top Stories This Week
Congress has put forward 18 bills on digital assets in 2021 so far
The U.S. Congress has been ramping up its efforts to provide a regulatory framework for crypto in 2021 and has put forward 18 bills concerning digital assets and blockchain tech so far this year.
According to an Aug. 22 analysis from former Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation regulator Jason Brett, the current 117th Congress differs from its predecessor in that it has been focusing on regulation concerning decentralized assets as opposed to private stablecoins.
It was also reported this week that the contentious $1 trillion infrastructure bill will see a vote in the House of Representatives by Sept. 27 — without any amendments to the controversial crypto tax provisions.
Visa invests $150,000 in NFT CryptoPunk asset
This week Visa, Visa spent $150,000 on a tokenized JPEG of a pixel art punk, better known as a CryptoPunk NFT. The firm announced the news in an Aug. 23 blog post, with Cuy Sheffield, the head of crypto at Visa, teasing that the firm may be looking at a prolonged stay in the sector.
“To help our clients and partners participate, we need a first-hand understanding of the infrastructure requirements for a global brand to purchase, store and leverage an NFT,” he said.
Visa purchased CryptoPunk 7610 — a female figure with a mohawk, green clown makeup eyes and lipstick. Obtaining an “understanding of the infrastructure requirements” in purchasing an NFT mustn’t have taken long, as all you need to do is buy it and store it in your wallet. It’s not rocket science.
Budweiser also joined in the action by purchasing a fan art NFT for 8 Ether (ETH), worth roughly $25,000. The NFT depicted a Budweiser-branded rocket that would take five minutes to whip up on Adobe Illustrator. The beer producer also spent 30 ETH, or $94,000, on the domain name Beer.eth through Ethereum Name Service on OpenSea.
PayPal launches crypto services for UK customers
Global payments provider PayPal announced the rollout of its crypto services for customers in the United Kingdom this week.
PayPal first launched its crypto services less than a year ago, and this is the first time it has expanded crypto support beyond U.S. shores.
The firm will initially allow customers to buy, sell and hold crypto assets including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether, Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). However, crypto transactions for PayPal business accounts aren’t supported yet.
MicroStrategy splashes $177M on Bitcoin, now holds almost 109,000 BTC
MicroStrategy, led by Bitcoin apostle Michael Saylor, has snapped up another $177 million worth of digital gold. The latest purchase takes the firm’s tally up to 108,992 BTC, which cost a mere $2,918 billion overall.
The average purchasing price for its BTC sits at approximately $26,769 per coin. With the price of BTC sitting at $47,584 at the time of writing, MicroStrategy’s holdings are valued at $5.1 billion.
It is a foregone conclusion that Saylor is “all in” on BTC at this stage. However, it is yet to be seen if he will respond to crypto skeptic Peter Schiff’s call out for a debate. Schiff faced off against Anthony Scaramucci this week over whether gold or BTC is a better store of value. After he won, he stated in jest:
“I just gotta say one thing: Michael Saylor, stop ducking me, I know you’re out there.”
Binance denies allegations of market manipulation
Major crypto exchange Binance came out swinging this week as it pushed back against allegations of market manipulation and trading against its users.
The firm is currently facing regulatory scrutiny and, in an Aug. 23 Twitter thread, Binance seemingly laid the blame of assertions of market manipulation on publications spreading FUD, along with people impersonating Binance employees.
The firm stated that, while it works on its compliance targets with regulators, it expects “fewer FUD-peddlers and individuals with malicious intent,” and went on to warn:
“Binance reserves the right to take legal action to protect its interests and welcomes responsible whistle-blowing that protects the trust of our community.”
    Winners and Losers
At the end of the week, Bitcoin is at $48,373, Ether at $3,233 and XRP at $1.14. The total market cap is at $2.08 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap.
Among the biggest 100 cryptocurrencies, the top three altcoin gainers of the week are Tezos (XTZ) at 46.33%, Avalanche (AVAX) at 33.86% and Celo (CELO) at 31.97%.
The top three altcoin losers of the week are Audius (AUDIO) at -21.08%, XinFin Network (XDC) at -13.99% and SushiSwap (SUSHI) at -12.76%.

    Most Memorable Quotations
“As long as the statute says that software developers, miners, stakers must do the impossible, there is no lawyer who would advise them to risk operating in violation of laws whose penalties for non-compliance would easily bankrupt them.”
Lawrence Zlatkin, Coinbase global vice president of tax
“In the last year, we’ve seen a significant shift in how the global financial ecosystem is thinking about new business models fueled by digital assets, and how this is playing a meaningful role in financial infrastructure.”
Linda Pawczuk, principal at Deloitte Consulting
“We will want to wait for all the regulatory things. Of course, crypto is an area which is extremely interesting, and is the biggest buzzword and is doing exceptionally well. But we would want to understand more on the regulation side.”
Manu Jain, managing director of Xiaomi India
“A trading platform that offers derivatives on digital assets to U.S. persons without registering, or in violation of CFTC trading rules, is subject to the CFTC’s enforcement authority.”
Dawn Stump, commissioner at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission
“When you have a good crypto wallet like Novi will be, you also have to think about how to help consumers support NFTs.”
David Marcus, head of Facebook Financial and co-creator of Diem
“Be wary of investment opportunities with low risk and high returns. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
Delia Rickard, deputy chair of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission
“Binance has never traded against our users nor manipulated the market, and we never will.”
Binance
“With our CryptoPunk purchase, we’re jumping in feet first. This is just the beginning of our work in this space.”
Cuy Sheffield, head of crypto at Visa
“I think this cryptocurrency revolution and Bitcoin specifically, because of its scarcity, is going to transcend gold. It’s more portable, it’s impregnable in terms of the transaction over the blockchain […] and it’s being adopted quite rapidly.”
Anthony Scaramucci, Skybridge founder
Prediction of the Week
Bitcoin bullish cross on weekly chart paints $225K BTC price target if history repeats
Bitcoin regained the $50,000 price level this week, although the asset subsequently fell several thousand dollars as part of a price correction, fluctuating between $45,000 and $50,000 for most of the week.
During the month of August, the moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) indicator on Bitcoin’s weekly price chart formed and continued through a cross of the indicator’s two lines, and jumped to green on its histogram (the bar part at the bottom of the indicator).
What does it mean? Well, nothing is certain, but according to reporting from Cointelegraph’s William Suberg, the last time Bitcoin’s MACD indicator acted similarly (last fall), the asset’s price grew by more than five times in value in the following half dozen months. BTC could potentially rise above $200,000 if things play out comparably, according to Suberg.
FUD of the Week
Google bans 8 ‘deceptive’ crypto apps from Play Store
Google, the Silicon Valley-based tech overlords, took down eight fraudulent crypto apps from its Google Play Store this week.
Fraudulent crypto-themed mobile apps have been popping up more frequently over the past 12 months, and they usually operate under the false pretext of offering cloud mining services.
According to a recent report from Trend Micro, the apps were charging around $15 a month for their fake services and extra for “increased mining capabilities” — all while duping users into watching paid ads.
The reportedly fake crypto apps included mining services such as BitFunds, Bitcoin Miner, Daily Bitcoin Rewards, Crypto Holic and MineBit Pro, to name a few.
Poll shows Brits concerned over the prospect of a digital pound
According to a survey conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies on behalf of Politico, 30% of British adults hold concerns over a Bank of England-issued central bank digital currency, or CBDC.
For some reason, the notion of having a programmable government-backed CBDC that can track all of their spending habits doesn’t sound appealing to them. If they think that’s bad, just wait until they hear about the insatiable appetite for personal data that Apple, Google or Facebook has.
There were 2,500 British adults surveyed in the study during early August, with 24% believing that it could be beneficial, while 46% were undecided.
Coinbase users angry with customer support after funds disappear from accounts
Top U.S. crypto exchange Coinbase was facing backlash this week for terrible customer service in relation to users reporting hacks and being drained of funds.
According to an Aug. 24 investigation from CNBC, thousands of disgruntled customers across the U.S. have lodged complaints against the company, and are unhappy with the lack of response from Coinbase when dealing with hacks and stolen funds.
“Interviews with Coinbase customers around the country and a review of thousands of complaints reveal a pattern of account takeovers, where users see money suddenly vanish from their account, followed by poor customer service from Coinbase that made those users feel left hanging and angry,” CNBC stated.

A CONGRESSMAN UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR SEX TRAFFICKING.....NO WAY
It was breaking new last night! Broke in the New York Times. Reporter Michael Schmidt one of the persons who wrote the article. It hit the media at 7:45.
Matt Gaetz is a 38 year old Congressman. A Republican, he represents a district in the western Panhandle.  He has been a Congressman since 2017.
The news involved Gaetz being the subject of an FBI investigation regarding possible sex trafficking with an underage girl. The issue under investigation is whether Gaetz had sex with a 17 year old girl and paid her to travel with him across state lines.
The investigation begun last fall while Trump was President. The investigator begun under Attorney General Barr. To be noted the investigation neither a Biden nor Democratic thing.
Gaetz was a close ally of Trump. Still is based on his public activities/pronouncements on Trump’s behalf.
His background not necessarily bad, though it does contain some questionable activities.
Gaetz was the lone no vote on the Combating Human Trafficking in Commercial Vehicles Act.
In 2018, he defended Trump’s statement that Haiti and African nations were “shit hole” countries.
In 2018, he was arrested for driving under the influence in Floirda. Police believed he was under the influence. He showed signs of physical intoxication. At the scene, he first denied he had anything to drink. Then admitted to 2 beers.
He failed the eye test. Decline to submit to field sobriety tests. Refused taking a breathalyzer test. Failure to take a breathalyzer test results in an automatic suspension of the driver’s license for one year.
He was never tried for failure to take the breathalyzer test nor was he tried on the DUI charge. At some point, all charges were dropped.
Between 1999 and 2014, Gaetz received 16 speeding tickets in Florida.
He alleged James Comey had leaked investigation matters to New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt. Could not have been. Schmidt was 10 yeas old at the time.
In 2018, Gaetz invited alt-right Holocaust denier Charles C. Johnson to attend the State of the Union Address.
On January 6, 2021 Joel Valdez, senior communications aide to Gaetz, posted a video on Parler hours before the storming of the Capitol: “From the top of the Capitol Office Building, WE HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR! #Stop the Steal.”
And more.
America is divided along party lines over Biden’s religion. His Catholicism and his right to receive Communion. An article touching on the mater was published in the National Catholic Reporter yesterday.
First to consider is what has happened to freedom of religion? Is not Biden entitled to the same?
Biden is the second Catholic President in U.S. history. The first was John Kennedy.
Biden appears to be a devout Catholic. Mass on Sunday where he receives Holy Communion. Not a Johnny come lately to the Church going, etc. A practice he learned in his youth and has followed ever since.
He has never made a secret of his faith. Quite frankly, he has to be a man of faith. Forget not, Biden lost his first wife and young daughter in an automobile accident. He lost his son in recent years to bran cancer.
A man needs God to survive such events. He openly admits his faith helped carry him through.
The question being asked is whether Biden’s faith is authentic. Actually, how much faith does he have? Such is being raised by some. Also the issue has been raised whether he should be allowed to receive Communion because of his being pro-abortion.
The March 30 Pew Poll reported 58 percent of adults are aware Biden is Catholic.
Eighty eight percent of Democrats believe Biden is “somewhat religious.” Sixty three percent of Republicans believe Biden “not” or “not at all religious.”
Biden has been referred to by members of both parties as a ‘fake Catholic” or a “Catholic in name only.” These words being echoed by the U.S. Bishops Conference.
The Bishops Conference is upset because Biden defines himself “as a devout Catholic” while at the same time supporting legal abortion.
The Bishops Conference is pushing hard to prohibit Biden from receiving Communion. Recall there is a split between the Bishops Conference and Pope Francis. The Bishops Conference is in bed with the far right in the U.S.  They dislike Francis. Periodically make moves to depose him. Would you believe!
Anyhow, Washington’s Archbishop and Bishop agree Biden’s abortion position is not a bar to his receiving Communion. They have publicly advised Biden will not be refused Communion.
Specifically addressing the abortion issue, 55 percent of Catholic Republicans believe Biden should be disqualified from receiving Communion. Whereas, only 11 percent of Catholic Democrats do.
When the issue is one of morality, who would you prefer as President? Trump or Biden? The question answers itself.
Spring Break is now being reviewed as if it is over. It is not. One or two more weeks to go.
Seems like Spring Break brought a change with it this year. A change which suggests the Spring Breaks of old are dead.
The only place in the U.S. where Spring Break got out of hand was Miami Beach’s South Beach. Two nights at the most. Then quiet. Fort Lauderdale had a slew of Spring Breakers. No problems.
Key West came through the situation so far with everything kumbaya. Recall, I thought Spring Break in Key West was going to be a disaster.
I was wrong.
There were fewer Spring breakers because rooms and house rentals were not available in the same quantity as years before. Holiday renters were taking them for 2 weeks.
Key West Mayor Teri Johnston was pleased how things worked out. She said, “I check regularly with our Chief of Police but it appears that we have welcomed a fun, respectful group of college students looking for some sun.”
Enjoy your day!

With voting timetable uncertain, prospect industry is in topsy-turvy manner

Walsh resignation day is important The field of likely candidates to be successful Mayor Walsh, Secretary of Labor-designate in the Biden Cupboard, dwindled down above the final week as city councillors and other folks eyeing the seat waited warily to see what kind of election routine they will be confronting during this municipal election calendar year.
The preferred incumbent from Dorchester will probable resign sometime following month upon his Senate confirmation, in the process passing his responsibilities off to City Council president, Kim Janey, who will provide as performing mayor until an election is held.
The timing of when voters will get their to start with option to select a successor will possible effect who will operate, and who won’t. For every the city’s constitution, if Walsh resigns ahead of March 5, his departure would result in a exclusive election— a preliminary adopted by a runoff concerning the two best vote getters— that would be scheduled for early summer months.
The council, however, is taking into consideration a Home Rule Petition that would override that statutory provision and go away the overall issue for voters to make your mind up in the regularly scheduled elections in September and November.
The petition, which was debated by the full council previous week and despatched to a committee for additional evaluate, would require to be accredited by a majority of the council and by Walsh ahead of likely to the Legislature and the governor for thought. (See connected tale in this edition.)
As that important difficulty is sorted out, the industry of achievable candidates has been sluggish to consider full shape. So considerably, only two candidates are firmly in the succession industry: Councillors Michelle Wu and Andrea Campbell, both equally of whom released campaigns last year when Walsh was even now regarded as a possible prospect for re-election. Previous week, two most likely robust candidates – Suffolk Sheriff Steve Tompkins and downtown Boston condition Rep. Aaron Michlewitz, chair of the Methods & Signifies Committee at the State House – withdrew their names from the mayoral blend.
Individuals however weighing bids for the total-time submit, according to numerous resources shut to them, include things like Janey, who will run Town Hall for at minimum a number of months after Walsh leaves Annissa Essaibi-George, an at-significant councillor from Dorchester who has built an increasingly robust citywide foundation above the very last three election cycles and Councillor-at-Substantial Michael Flaherty, the longest-tenured member of the council who lives in South Boston.
Point out Sen. Nick Collins, who represents South Boston, most of Dorchester, and areas of Mattapan, is also mulling a run as are Marty Martinez, a Dorchester resident who serves as the city’s main of Health and fitness and Human Companies for the city John Barros, a further Dorchester resident who is the city’s chief of Financial Development in the Walsh cupboard, by these who have talked to him William Gross, the city’s police commissioner, who instructed reporters final week that he was leaning towards a go and point out Rep. Jon Santiago, a health practitioner who signifies the South Finish and Back again Bay in the Legislature.
Wu and Campbell can both of those assert significant head starts more than new entries in the race.
Wu officially introduced her bid for mayor past September— two months in advance of Campbell. The at-significant councillor from Roslindale— now in her fourth phrase on the council— notched the race’s initially significant-name endorsement on Jan. 9 when US Sen. Elizabeth Warren threw her assist to Wu, whom Warren taught as a professor at Harvard Law.
Campbell, who life in Mattapan, has represented District 4 on the council because unseating longtime incumbent Charles Yancey in 2014. She announced her bid previous September, citing her policy function on the council and her roots in the metropolis.
In accordance to the Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF), Wu had $535,589 in the bank at the conclude of 2020 and Campbell was a bit powering her at $523,731.
Janey, who will be the initial Black man or woman — and the to start with woman— to serve comprehensive-time as the city’s main government, has not nevertheless said if she will search for a whole, 4-12 months phrase. She experienced $96,965 in her campaign account at the conclusion of very last 12 months.
Essaibi-George is said to be very seriously weighing a mayoral campaign, in accordance to resources shut to her. A previous Boston Public Schools trainer and the operator of the Stitch House on Dorchester Avenue, she has been a longtime ally of Walsh, whom she has identified considering the fact that childhood. She has developed her citywide foundation around 3 phrases in workplace, and is a single of numerous folks with ties to Walsh’s political group and donors who could mount a feasible candidacy. She concluded 2020 with around $110,000 at her disposal for electioneering.
Flaherty initial joined the town council in 1999, and following functioning inadequately towards incumbent Mayor Thomas M. Menino, he returned to the council in 2013. He has approximately $198,000 in the bank, according to new experiences.
Flaherty informed the Reporter very last week that he is “weighing” his alternatives, including, “There are a lot of aspects to think about, such as who enters the race and irrespective of whether we have a particular election or not. Our town wants a mayor and leaders in each and every elected situation who are thoroughly dedicated to both bringing our metropolis through this pandemic and continuing the work of building Boston a far better, far more resilient and equitable area for all its citizens.”
Martinez, who at present has the large-profile occupation of top the city’s Covid response, told reporters last 7 days that his experience in that role would be an asset in the mayor’s business.
“The following mayor … will have a large duty to make sure we can finish this response and get to an equitable restoration, and I’m absolutely looking at jogging for mayor,” he claimed.
Martinez does not yet have an account registered with campaign finance office and neither does Barros, who is also observed as a probably prospect. A Dorchester resident who ran for mayor in 2013 and finished fourth in the preliminary election, he is now a seasoned City Hall veteran with powerful connections to the city’s business and civic leaders.
Of Cape Verdean descent, Barros was the longtime chief of the Dudley Street Community Initiative prior to signing up for the Walsh cupboard.
Gross advised reporters final 7 days that he is “90 % in” as a prospect himself. He was promoted to the BPD’s best spot by Walsh in 2018 and is a well known determine amongst officers and their families.
A Dorchester resident in his youth, Gross lived in Milton in more new yrs just before transferring again into the city— to Roslindale— right after his appointment as police commissioner.
“I can not give you an respond to 100 p.c,” Gross explained last week when requested about his candidacy. “But out of regard, I’m heading to give this deep consideration. If there’s a person detail that rings real, I would hardly ever be as presumptuous as just to throw my hat in the ring when the mayor was just announced.”
Michlewitz, who life in the North Close, reported past week that he will not run for mayor, that he will retain his seat in the Legislature, the place, he said in a assertion, “I imagine I can be most efficient to the inhabitants of the metropolis of Boston in my current function as the chair of Strategies and Means with a seat at the desk major us via the financial recovery essential to see the commonwealth of Massachusetts out of the problems brought about by the pandemic.”
Tompkins issued a very similar statement final 7 days: “While I am significantly flattered by each my inclusion in the dialogue as a contender for this honor and by the many calls of assistance and encouragement I have been given from pals and colleagues, urging me to critically take into account having the leap, it is with effective conviction and a renewed feeling of goal that I respectfully decline this prospect to provide the individuals of Boston in this capability.”

President Trump is a ray of hope for the American people.
◇ Most of the American media is "anti-Trump"
The US presidential election in November this year will be strongly influenced by the media.
In the United States, newspapers such as The Washington Post and The New York Times, and main street media centered on television such as CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS are all anti-Trump media.
The only media favored by President Trump is FOX TV, founded by Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch.
Since overseas media including Japan only distribute news of translated versions of mainstream media in the United States, it is said that a large amount of information that is quite anti-Trump and full of prejudice is flowing in Japan. You can say that.
I think that you can deepen your understanding of that area by watching the YouTube videos I have distributed in the past.
By the way, "NewsBusters", a project of the monitoring organization "Media Research Center", analyzes the evening news by ABC, CBS, and NBC from June 1st to July 31st. Did. As a result, President Trump's coverage time was 512 minutes, nine-58ths that of Biden's candidate.
According to the center's analysis, 634 or 95% of the 668 evaluation statements to the president were negative, compared to 4 out of 12 candidates for Biden.
This shows the fact that President Trump's negative coverage is more than 56 times that of Biden, but it should be said that it is overkill.
At a rally held by President Trump in Oklahoma on June 22, a tiktok user, who was named by President Trump as a spearball, booked a large number of tickets online on the assumption that he would be absent from this rally, and the actual participants I know I was reducing.
By the way, there were more than 1 million applications for participation in this rally, but thanks to the above-mentioned intentional cancellation, only about 6000 people actually participated.
Therefore, there is no doubt that SNS is one of the important weapons in this year's presidential election.
It's a shame, but if you're the prime minister in Japan and all the media except one TV station is just a drag on you, do you think it's a fair media outlet?
President Trump is a millionaire. If anything, why do you continue to be president by turning globalists into enemies, even though you are far closer to the globalists than the middle class in the United States?
Even though President Trump is in a position to live affluently without doing that, he spends his last hours of life to improve the lives of middle-class people who have little to do with him. Where does the meaning of "Ou" mean?
◇ Why Mr. Biden of "early dementia" became the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party
Biden is 77 years old. According to a survey by Zogby in the United States, as many as 55% of voters in the United States feel that "Biden is an early stage of dementia," with more than 60% of young people.
Why did an old politician, who had been a member of the Diet for 47 years from 1973 in the United States, which should be abundant with young and talented people, and did not produce any special results, became a candidate for president at this time?
Non-Biden candidates were socialist Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, billionaire Michael Bloomberg, LGBT Pete Buttigiegge, and centrist but unnamed Amy Kropshire.
However, as was the case with Hillary Clinton in 2016, there were no special candidates. Therefore, as a result, it seems that the candidate was selected by elimination method.
LGBT representative Pete Buttigieg was initially pushed by the Democratic Party, which has so far selected topical candidates, such as former President Obama, who is half black, and Hillary Clinton, the first female presidential candidate. did.
However, it seems that it was too early to elect the LGBT president, and Buttigiegge sank without increasing his vote. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, who followed, decided that socialist ideas were too strong to do the same. Originally from Wall Street, Michael Bloomberg is well known and is a millionaire with personal wealth ranked in the top 11 in the United States, so he was expected to use his wealth to become president, but withdrew because he announced that he would run too late.
As a result, what remains is Biden.
Initially, the media was slamming Biden, but in a hurry, they started to lift up and continue to this day.
◇ The identity of Biden candidate that Japanese media never writes
Candidate Biden is said to be the so-called "striking dust".
Not only Biden candidate, but his son Hunter Biden is also a gray person, so in short, the Biden family can be said to be a problem family.
Now let's see what gray cases can be seen around Biden.
1) It was noted that Biden's son, Hunter, is actively investing in Chinese companies, which are "strategic competitors" set by the Pentagon.
Biden has announced that his son, Hunter, has resigned from the board of directors of Shanghai's private equity investment firm BHR Partners, but hunters still hold $ 4.2 million in assets, according to expert analysis.
2) When Biden was Vice President, Hunter was paid $ 50,000 a month in 2014-2019 as a director of the Ukrainian energy company Prisma.
3) The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), a non-profit organization that monitors ethics, announced on May 21 that it had submitted a document to the Ministry of Education.
The NLPC has requested that the Biden Center "out of the $ 70 million or more received from China, $ 22 million is anonymous" over the past three years, disclose information and conduct a full investigation.
The Biden Center is a public policy advocacy organization founded by Mr. Biden at the University of Pennsylvania. According to official records, the Biden Center has received a large amount of donations from China since its opening, with one donation from "anonymous" in 2018 totaling $ 14.5 million.
4) Multiple sexual harassment allegations of Biden candidate himself
And so on.
◇ Why is Biden's candidate for "scandal department store" a presidential candidate?
If Biden wins the presidential election, he will reduce trade friction between the United States and China, introduce TPP, reduce the burden of student loans, continue Obamacare, increase demand for renewable energy, increase immigration to the United States due to border abolition, China's telecommunications equipment giant It has announced that it will promote the lifting of sanctions on Huawei, the lifting of sanctions on Iran, and the reduction of public investment.
Indeed, many of Trump's strong policies will be reversed.
Biden has also said he intends to lift economic sanctions on China, although I'm not sure if it's possible due to congressional opposition.
In short, if he becomes president, all globalists (Silicon Valley, a treasure trove of stateless companies, Wall Street, the crucible of international financial capitalists, and other large corporations) can benefit.
Therefore, Biden is said to have received a tremendous amount of campaign finance from these beneficiaries.
As evidence, Biden has stated that he is spending $ 220 million on TV commercials and $ 60 million on digital advertising.
Trump, on the other hand, is only $ 147 million, despite his incumbent president. That amount is only about half that of Biden's candidate.
◇ The US presidential election in November is a war between globalists and nationalists
The US presidential election in November is a battle between globalists who are trying to eliminate borders behind Biden, and nationalists such as President Trump who has gained the support of the US middle class who cannot be enriched.
And, in the unlikely event that Biden wins, it is said that the United States will become a prey for globalists and the speed of US decline will accelerate.
◇ Will President Trump still win?
Biden has been leading President Trump in national polls for almost a year.
Recently, Biden's approval rating has been around 50%, sometimes even 10 points behind President Trump.
However, this can also be the result of being heavily distorted by the media.
It's still more than a month before the election day, but the question is whether the Americans can make the right decision while the media isn't reporting the right information.
Regarding this, I previously delivered a Youtube video, so please watch it.
Many people now seem to be predicting Biden's election, but I'm sure President Trump will be reelected.
Otherwise, the future of Americans who have become the prey of globalists will undoubtedly be darkened.
I believe they know that Biden shouldn't be instinctively made president, even if the majority of Americans are fooled by many media outlets.
It may sound like a lie to those who are controlled by the Japanese media, but President Trump is a ray of hope for the American people.
