sometimes i think abt how I'll never truly have the full trans-guy experience... like even now im seen by the majority of people as woman-lite. i go by my very feminine name, and like I'd love to go by something more masculine irl but that's... terrifying. It's so scary to think about. I don't even know why. It's like, how do you even bring that up? How do you even go about telling all your friends, "hey, I actually want to go by something else!" When I know that the majority just kind of sees me as like a girl cosplaying. When people who KNOW my pronouns still use they/them for me it feels so invalidating. Since the majority of my friends are trans men/LGBTQ+... you'd think that they would get it but I still have this fear in the back of my mind. I don't know, it's silly. The name feels like I'm asking too much y'know? It's not like my irl name really BOTHERS me exactly, I love it in a lot of ways, I just don't really think it's... me.
