The ICJ has said there is a risk of genocide in Gaza, implicating both Israel and countries that support Israel such as the US and the UK.

Whilst the ruling is ultimately toothless and unfortunately has limited power to protect Palestinians, I do think it suggests that people claiming Israel is wholly acting in self defense need to re examine their positions - to claim Israel is solely targeting "legitimate targets" at this stage is complete nonsense and completely unserious.

In the light of this, you need to stop accepting propaganda unthinkingly and actually consider what is going on.

Gaza is being bombed indiscriminately. Hospitals, ambulances, and other healthcare infrastructure has been targeted and destroyed. Thousands of innocent people will die because of this, including children.

Family homes have been destroyed in their hundreds of thousands. Over 90% of the population is displaced with limited food and water. Every day children are dying in bomb strikes. This isn't a war, it's a slaughter. It's collective punishment of an entire people.

Even if Israel stopped it's aggression tomorrow, people will still die and be dying for years because of what has been done to Gaza this winter. Of course we need a ceasefire now and that will undoubtedly save lives, but Israel's actions clearly intend to absolutely destroy Gaza.

Whatever you think about the attack on October 7th, at this point Israeli actions have gone so far beyond what is reasonable, that no longer continues to have relevance. Israel is trying to destroy Gaza and that's horrific. And it must stop. As a human being in defence of other human beings, it needs to stop!

It's not too late to change your position, to stop both sidesing this, and to be on the right side of history.
