it is absolutely wild that i’m very much not a pokemon fan but i’m absolutely crazy about temtem’s world design, worldbuilding, and art direction
#been watching a couple of friends go on a fun little roadtrip in scarlet violet#the world does look pretty bad compared to xenoblade which i'm still not off. it's just such a good game#so i'm just catching up on all of the final changes to temtem 1.0 (some missing models have been properly added)#and i'm still blown away by the game's art direction. it has so much better worldbuilding than pokemon in general#like this one is so minor- there's one room where there's a pair of paintings of tuwai (looks like a toucan) in a super art deco style#and i was like HOLY SHIT!!! THAT'S SO COOL!!! THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN THIS LITTLE ROOM IS INSANE!!!#and it's like... the more i look around the more i'm like 'wow they truly bake the temtem into the world in really really cool ways'#like people have art deco pieces of cats and shit. like the protagonist of romantic killer#but when you see that in a pokemon game it's only clothing. it's not little things like statues or books or wall decor
