#theme: 911ls and grief

To celebrate some of the wonderful fic in this fandom, we will be compiling fic recs that fit the theme of each week of the countdown!

This week, the theme is Grief. Fic featuring characters coping with the deaths of loved ones, the loss of relationships, or shattered expectations is particularly on point here! You can also rec any fic featuring Judd and/or Grace Ryder, the two characters we’re putting a bit of extra focus on this week.

911LS is often very heavy handed with its theme for the episode. What is a theme you think they'll still have to explore and how does the episode play out?

oooooh, michelle!!! this is a tough one ajdnskdn

it took me a bit to come up with an answer to this tbh, and maybe my brain just isn’t working today but all i could really think of is themes they’ve already explored but in different ways? like ever since rewatching season one all i can think about is an arc similar to what grace and judd went through with judd’s ptsd but with tk and carlos with carlos’ trauma and grief. if they approach mental health again in any way i think it’d be interesting for a few of them to explore therapy or different ways they come to deal with what they’ve gone through (im especially thinking of marjan and her digging more into the effects of being tracked down and almost killed). as an emotional angst lover i think it’d be interesting to continue on with the throughlines of grief by bringing back that grief group. also as a non-religious person, i think going back to religion but looking at it from like a holiday episode across multiple perspectives might be fun!!
