true crime documentaries that make terrible criminals seem like Epic Comic Book Villains are fucking trash. If you think the psychopath you’re talking about would get a kick out of watching your shit show you’ve done it wrong and should get beat
#mel chirps#i just finished watching the doc about the yorkshire ripper on netflix and that's a good one it's respectful and focuses on the victims#it's about suttcliffe's crimes but at no point it's about him it's very firm about how the women he hurt as well as the feminist movement#at the time deserve more of a spotlight than him as an individual#it doesn't try to be spooky which is how you know the people that made it have sense#then i think 'ok that was interesting i'l see another doc' and 13 minutes into the one about the night stalker i already wanna die
