coquette culture is out. grisette culture is in.

-working in fast fashion industry (mall screen printing is a big one, but this can be anything involving quickly producing cheap clothing; specialized tailoring or seamstress work is right out; however, target, marshall's, etc. retail does count on the technicality that you are peddling shit)

-wear the most fashionable low quality meme shirts or shit trend outfits, shein does not count it HAS to be purchased in person, honestly just bring back mall fashion

-single girls between the ages of 18-29 who live alone or in shared housing with other girls, are mostly financially 'independent' as in not much family assistance but not at all wealthy, usually paycheck to paycheck workers

-spread hot goss

-occasionally, tits out

#i do not want to conflate grisettes w sex workers bc that's not historically accurate #they COULD be but grisettes were not sa's by default #sex work or associated work was an option #btw before anyone is like 'the fast fashion industry is shit!' that's the point #grisettes were not high quality seamstresses most of the time #they could rise to that but these are like #women grabbing stints in quick sewing #doing whatever work comes in
