i do wish the graphics were better. or maybe just different? if they had to switch to a different style as opposed to point-and-click, i would've liked a 2D visual novel or something. also if they haven't improved on the graphics, the chances of the controls being the same are pretty high, right?

#nancy drew games #i hope for something closer to mediocrity this time but i expect MID 2.0 #i get that the graphics in the old games weren't perfect and the controls in the oldest ones suck to this day #but there are other points that make up for that in a lot of ways #like the story and/or characters #it's just such a step down from SEA still...#it's not like i never play cheaply made video games either like i do. and i enjoy them!#but it still hurts me somewhat to have the quality of my favorite games dropped so low #and honestly i'm a little too sad about it to just wave it off because we got a new game #they also didn't nail the writing for the recurring characters last time imo #like frank could NOT keep it in his pants okay that was weird #i kind of don't want to see them butcher some of my favorite characters y'know?
