#still new to his filmography#but i really like his comedy/romantic movkes so far (:#the way he uses colours but the atmosphere is still kinda sad#and the way people in his movies are not super attractive and they are brilliant and rich and witty and perfect#they are super regular people with super regular working class problems#they have normal jobs and normal houses sometimes they lose their jobs and they can't pay bills and rent#they are crushed by loneliness and feel like they forgot how to interact with others#they have awkward dates or immediately plan to get married or kill everyone who was cruel to them#theh speak very little and kiss cheeks after being to the movie together#they have their worries and when they turn on the news it's tienanmen or iraq or ukraine#it's very real and for once in my life i thought oh this could be me!#notes of a countryside dandy
