all they've really shared about mom is that she's compassionate, but since everyone compares gran to their dad i think itd be neat if gran got their stubborness or something from their mom etc... gran's curious about her, but at the end of the day they didn't grow up with her and as such has no memories of her in the way they do of their dad. walfrid said grans dad returned to zinkenstill with gran, so while gran probably would like to connect with her if(when) they got to meet her, she'd essentially be a stranger.

but when walfrid mentions her, he says he doesn't know where she is right now, and that he has his own reasons to not wanting to discuss her, but he does believe they will meet her one day. both gran's dad & mom has ties to bahamut, and grew up together too, so while part of the reason they left zinkenstill was to do what bahamut wanted them to do (gran's dad reverting primals to their pre-primal state), the other reason was to take back mom's sister since true king kidnapped her (for her powers probably, they originally wanted mom).....so i wonder if the reason she didn't return to zinkenstill was tied to that or something since aunt is still with true king...so if that mission was a failure or came to a strange conclusion mom wasn’t happy with since thats her baby sis.....who knows! at this point i wonder if dad's reason to go to estalucia was to meet with bahamut too tbh? considering we now know that they did meet face-to-face.

tbh since gran's dad was an orphan & found as a baby, i sometimes wonder if gran was the same just for the ties there LOL i do assume they'll either introduce mom, or drop more information about her this act, but aside from this i dont actually have many thoughts about her until then......im just rly curious why walfrid doesnt wanna discuss her, he refers to her as "that woman" when saying that too and that?? i dont know what to think about..

tldr, gran has no memory of mom, mom is out there doing Something who knows what, idk if i think mom&dad are together rn, please give me the mom lore cygames

+ in miscolored memories gran gets stuck in a dream/world of them being a child/toddler waiting for their dad together with a mom, and gran is eventually unsettled by her and as such moves away from her, and someone i know pointed out that they might’ve done that because they actually never was with their mom, and as such the situation wasnt nostalgic or safe but just plain wrong:’)
