Jensen knocked cautiously on Charlie’s open office door the afternoon he’d decided enough was enough. He cleared his throat a little as he stepped in, facing his first individual interaction with the older man. 

“Hey, professor...I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute?” He asked, still waiting for formal affirmation that he could enter Charlie’s space properly.
