Ok listen I have to be very careful abt the malec/tmi people I follow bc a few weeks ago I followed someone and everything was going great until they reblogged a fic snippet in which it talked about 'Alec's beautiful hazel eyes' and I heard a legit record scratch go off in my head before I noped out

#this is NOT anti show energy #this is I've been reading these books and shipping malec since 2009 #energy #and goddamnit I will only respect ocean/azure/bottle glass blue fucking orbs in this house #look I just have been emotionally attached to this story for so many years now #and the show/movie kind of just exist as separate entities from canon for me #but show-only fans just...............their vitriol abt the books/Cassie #was the reason I left the fandom to begin with #so seeing something like that was jarring and telling lol
