> /endless internal gossip about which author said what on her twitter, and who her friends are, and how bad her books are now that everyone’s agreed she’s a bad person, and you’ll be Tainted if you’re seen interacting with her books/platform

> /author friends bombarding you with the above even when you try to stay out of it out of legit disinterest: “BUT IF YOU DON’T CARE YOU’RE ALSO THE PROBLEM!”

> “This author is 100% lesbophobic because she’s written MM content but no FF, if you still read her books you’re a nazi, if you’re an author who promoted her you’re also a nazi, please DNF DNI unfollow. Everyone else come follow my viral cancelling train on Tiktok”

> “If there are errors in the book it must mean the author doesn’t care about their readers and only wants our money! It’s shameful that authors want money!!! CANCEL THEM”
