i can absolutely imagine a situation where Murderbot has to clarify [ugh] that its pronouns are "it/its".

And someone is like, no, you can't have pronouns like that! that's dehumanizing, you deserve something better, that's like an object, etc.

And one of MB's friends rushes in to defend being like, "'It' isn't inherently derogatory! That's the pronoun we use for so many amazing things-- waterfalls, music, the stars in the sky!"

And there's a beat and Murderbot's like, "No, I mean 'it' like i'm an object actually."
