It's kinda crazy how much of this book is just set up and yet you don't even notice it when you read it but they always try to breeze past it in adaptations

#rehks rants #the lightning theif #pjo show #tlt musical #pjo #I understand that it's a different format for a musical and a tv show/movie but it is weird #some of the best songs come from those 8 chapters they're very important introduction to the world #*ch 21 was left out on purpose bc that happens in a scene I think but not a song #oh and on the book I'm just assuming we won't see crusty bc they fucking hate me #all I've been asking for is to see the waterbed scene and they don't even do it in the musical I don't think #it's been a while since I've actually seen it #to be fair they don't even do the lotus hotel in the musical they just mention it
