I kinda touched on this ages ago during my first set of roleswap MOCs (where I swapped the Metrutoran and Voyatoran, along with Dezalk and Brander), but Ahkmou and Velika kinda feel like counterparts, like they're both Po-Matoran introduced in an arc based around a team of new Toa finding their way in an important-to-the-setting location, they both have some form of ulterior motives (Ahkmou's shitty football business and brush with Shadow Toafication, and Velika's Evil Plan™ and also the thing where he became a Matoran.)
