In the crime drama series "Knight Rider" (1982-1986), Daniels voiced KITT, an artificially intelligent electronic computer module in the body of a robotic automobile. The series lasted for 90 episodes. The series was very popular in its time, and has had a large number of sequels and spin-offs.

I'm cautiously optimistic for lorekeeper (knowing that it will automate a lot of features that now require manual mod input) But like... I wish the mods would understand that they can't just put ALL their energy into lorekeeper building. Like, you can't let the group rot for a month straight and then do a turboboost whirlwind cleanup of channels and then leave it sitting for a month again. Mario Kart Item Combos

Ok ok so I have suggestions for Mario Kart item combos (version 8 on the switch).

Mario Kart can get a bit repetitive so these shake things up. Not to mention, when you play with a group there are some people that are really good and some people that really aren’t (like me). So having these specific item combos levels the playing field a little bit and also just adds a very fun element. 

Blue Shells and Bullet Bills

Can’t take credit for this one, but it’s very fun, levels the playing field, and because rankings are constantly changing, everyone gets a chance for both items. Plus there is strategy involved, don’t want to send the blue shell on yourself!

(I saw a suggestion for blue shells and super horn which could be kinda similar but I don’t think that would shake up the rankings nearly as much, needs to be tested)

(I still haven’t been able to decide a good name for this one, so let me know if you have an idea.)

Fickle Gods - Lightning and Stars (or starman)

This one is super fun because the items work so fast that there isn’t much strategy, it feels very much like your destiny is left to fate, or you know, fickle gods. 

Obviously lightning slows you down and stars speed you up, but stars protect you from the lightning if you’re lucky enough. If not, you lose your items.

Now you see me, Now you don’t - Blooper (squid) and Boo

This one balances because if you are actively invisible the squid ink won’t affect you, and the blindness from the squid ink can kind of balance the fact that your items are also getting stolen. Plus, if there are no items to steal, the game will throw in the occasional mushroom. 

Carnivorous Compost - Piranha plants and Banana peels

For this one to be the most fun, you need to know that piranha plants can clean up the track in front of you (of opponents and banana peels). This one is the one I think is actually more fun if you throw in a bunch of computers and for maximum chaos you can use triple banana peels rather than singles. Also, the shorter/more condensed the track the better, so Baby Park, Excitebike Arena, etc. Basically, you want tracks where you can see each other (to throw things as they pass) and have a good chance of running into the peels again.

Sonicboom - Superhorn and Bob-ombs

You do need good aim and timing for the bob-ombs to be fun, but this one allows for delayed attacks and an item that works for defence and attack. Plus, I think the name is funny.

Turboboost - Mushrooms

Literally all the mushrooms. This one is literally just to make you go crazy fast, obviously more fun on courses that have lots of shortcuts and terrain you can go over. You can also add the coins if you so desire.

Dodgeball - Shells

I would say blue shells don’t totally fit in this one, but you do you. Generally just all the versions of red and green shells. Depending on skill levels you can decide if you want a track with more obstacles for protection or less so you can focus on the PvP vibes.

Sharpshooter - Fire flower, Boomerang flower, Bob-omb, Green shells

I suck at aiming, so this isn’t my preferred, but if you want to focus on actual aim these items are the way to go. If you want to add in defence you could do the star or the super horn, but remember that the more items you have the less likely you are to get the rare/fun items. You can experiment with which items you prefer if you want less items in the list.

Firepower - Fire flower and Bob-omb

This is a subset of sharpshooter. However, it’s built based on vibes rather than tested for fun, so keep that in mind. You would want either a smaller track or equally skilled opponents so you are actually close to each other for maximum fun. 

General tips for picking specific items:

If you do more than 2 items, the person in front will always get the same common(“worst”) one, so 2 items seems to be optimal for making sure everyone gets to use the fun items. If the item has a single vs triple version you can use both and it works fine, or use only the triple for more chaos. 

I think most of these routes are much more fun when you’re playing with friends and not computers, but my personal philosophy with Mario Kart is that my best friend is allowed to pass me with a Bullet Bill and freaking computer-Larry is NOT. But if you are going for pure chaos, playing with computers will get that for you. Easier computers are more useful for contributing items to the field, while harder computers will force you to be better with driving skills.
