snow  !    first of all,   I missed you so much !    (   like,   I super do !  )  and secondly,   thank you for allowing me to start this blog  THIS  way !?   it’s such a good way to begin .   my god the way this ask made me smile so, so much ! 

Now,   to answer !    This all began in the first place because I wanted to write for a character that is incredibly innocuous,   someone that can be perceived as   ‘ inoffensive ’   someone that is essentially  just  gratuitously nice.   I thought it would be fun to play with a character that is incredibly unremarkable  ;   like a passing character.    (  that’s why judith looks the way she does as well,  someone that is  ‘ average ’  as if, upon first meeting,  you wouldn’t think she’s any sort of danger nor of interest really !  ) 

Then follows the  HORROR !    I adore this genre to bits,  but especially things that involve inescapable fears,  threats  -   ultimate bad endings and terror in relationships.  Those types of horror that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.  lmao.   I think that’s why Judith devolved into this sort of character were yes she is in fact harmless  and she is in fact inoffensive and innocuous but with a dash of unknowable discomfort.    Like even if she’s gentle with you, treats you well, never harms you, etc, etc,  something is just a little askew with her.  (  I guess,  horror in sanctity.  people with religious trauma will get it !  Like that yucky feeling you get when you’re confronted by  ‘ religion ’ !   it in itself is good and kind but boy is it gross. )

gets sick pretty easily and is prone to high fevers. satan ignores her complaining as he places cold towels on her back and forehead. 

yen’s usually too tired and sluggish to actually put up a struggle so there’s just a lot of verbal whining abt the cold 

becomes kinda childish when sick, when she’s really tired and about to fall asleep, she’ll tug on satan’s sleeve and ask him to stay a while

also gets really clingy and hates being alone

i really want to buddy!! got lots of stuff i want to write aha

and as for asher and toland i....... oh man. okay, so 

so i kind of came up with a...... history (kind of) repeating itself scenario? 

when i wrote that tiny bit of explanation that asher gives grier in help me polarize i just. wasnt happy with it? it wasnt that i wanted to create drama or purposefully have asher go through the same thing as grier did, i just decided that it would be interesting to give them a sure fire reason to connect, for grier to see something very similar in asher to himself. i wanted the experience asher has with toland to be similar but not exactly the same, i guess? 

i just thought it would bring them closer and give grier a strong indication that no, toland was actually terrible and that he did the right thing. because i feel like as obvious as it was and as brave as grier is for taking that step away from being taken king and realising that toland is terrible, sometimes it still takes someone who went through it as well for you to be safe and secure in the decision that you made, if that makes sense? 

and idk if anyone picked up on it, but grier is coming to asher after being told by avia about the dark future. and grier thinks very similarly to avia in that he just perceives it as ‘that was almost me.’ and yeah avia talks to him and gives him comfort but he still goes to asher in the same (less romantically, ofc) way that avia would probably break down to rook about it afterwards. 

but, anyway, the basic idea is:

asher studied with toland. toland being drawn to the darkness and knowing that the vex were closely tied to it, he found asher and convinced him to work with him. ahser ended up helping toland with some pretty intense theories and hypothesis under the impression that it was in aid of the tower and in defeating the vex, but finds out too late that he was being used to help toland justify his own perceptions of the darkness 

asher was just...... too young, too brash and insistent and alone, to realise. toland told him he was clever and smart and a credit to the warlocks and everything else. asher thought himself pragmatic enough not to care about stupid compliments but...... toland was asking him to try, just to try and capture some darkness from a hive knights sword. surely, only he could do it. they could study it together, compare it to radiolaria and finally crack the darkness's corruption, to find how it happens before anyone else does. so he does it, and doesnt even think to ask where the sample dissapears to a few days later. 

eventually he needs help. toland starts to ask for a lot, and he cant keep up. so he groups up with a couple of hunters and they help him out and they just. stick around. and asher cant get rid of them and light above they start to grow on him. and. they catch onto tolands fuckery a lot quicker than he does, and they manage to pull asher away before the worst happens, and when toland turns into a heretic and talks of exile happen, ashers hunters are there to tell him that there was nothing he could have done. 

and. i mean. in a sense, in the smallest way, history repeats itself. 

think of it kind of like harry potter and the half blood prince. one of the main scenes in that film is harry having to get a memory from a professor who essentially told voldemort how to make himself immortal. but that professor has cast away and warped that memory because of his guilt. asher has essentially done the same, because he doesnt want to face the notion that he contributed to a whole fireteam dying because he didnt warn them about his lies or his manipulation, because he wanted nothing to do with toland after his exile, and theres a part of him that thinks maybe, just maybe he could have prevented him from becoming so obsessed.

but. tolands dead, so, he’s fine. 

(theres just. this scene in my head of asher coming face to face with a dead man and light above what can he do?? he’s a dead man walking, one arm, no weapons, no ghost. 

but griers hurt and avia is nowhere to be seen, none of kindred light are anywhere and he cant contact them theres nothing he can do and toland just 

smiles that sickeningly sweet smile and its only now that asher can see the malice behind it, as he pushes a kneeling grier over with his foot and says, ‘well, i guess history has a habit of repeating itself’ - crushes griers scrambling ghost as it tries to heal him, ‘but this time im taking the little wretch with me.’)

aarón dé santos, my fallen aasimar rogue/wizard: probably my most thought out one, because he used to be a dragon age oc before i transformed him into a d&d one. he comes from a noble family and has a sister & a love interest. since he was a little kid he was always perceived as rather aloof and a bit strange & used to have a fascination with death and magic, practising in secret in his fathers study. his parents were afraid of him & very religious and at some point he got disowned & selled off to an organisation of assassins. as an assassin, working against his purpose as an aasimar, he fell rather quickly. as a very religious man himself he lives in constant struggle praying and asking for forgiveness everytime he takes a life. he also learned the art of necromancy and he thinks in his own twisted way that he’s giving death new purpose, and for example, he can also apologize to the dead directly for killing them. other than that he’s tall, has shoulder length dark hair, piercing eyes, a deep voice and a spanish accent. he’s also rather charming……:’)

ysmael, my drow warlock: ysmael lives in the underdark, has very long, straight white hair, dark grey skin, his left eye is red, his right eye is milky white because he’s blind on that one, also that part of his face is full of scars who mainly looked like claw marks, from a time he almost died. he wears black and dark red, his signiture outfit consists of a suit/jackett with no shirt under it, lots of jewelry, leathers & a cape he’s a slut like that    probably only wears gucci also he always smells goodhe’s a male in a typical drow sociaty, who is not particulary strong, and was very bad when he tried to study magic, and yet he earned respect. he’s rather smart and very, very good with words and became a business man (smuggler!!!!) mainly dealing with magical artifacts. almost dying during one of those transactions, he made a deal with an archfey who was trapped in an artifact he was about to sell. whenever he’s dealing in the outside world he uses mask of many faces to disguise himself into a woof elf, with olive skin, dark hair and a gentle smile

astoria de mocini, my half elf blood hunter: not sure if my pinterest board made it clear, but she is a vampire!!!!!!!!! :D :D she has red hair that end into a yellow/orange, and she always wears tiny round goth glasses (because of the sun) but also because she’s goth like thatanyways she’s a noble and became a vampire rather unwillingly because her mum had an obsession with staying young & beautiful. astoria joined an order of blood hunters after that, learning how to use her powers and how to live with them. she’s proud of who she is, yet misses to be alive sometimes & loves hunting down vampires the most. especially the ones that transformed her and her fam. also she’s super outgoing, proud, sexual, has an italian accent and has super long pointy nails… :^) also i ship her with my sisters paladin but she has not agreed to that romance yet so its a bit onesided skjdfjsdf

melody, my tiefling bard: her nickname is mel, and most people call her that way, she also has a little white pet rat she carries around everywhere! she has magenta skin and pastel unicorn hair sdjfkjdsf yep she generally has a bubbly personality and i imagine she talks a bit like sera from dai :)she was an orphan tho, survining by playing music on the street, before she officaly became a bard in a college. the kids didnt like her very much and they fought a lot with her out of jealousy because she already had so much practise before she entered the college. also her outfits are nice but always patched up at places because she cant afford new ones and because of all that one of her horns broke off, but she doesnt really mind. she’s generally very nice and always tries to be brave and make everyone around her smile, sometimes she feels very lonely though, i think.

shidara, my yuan-ti pureblood cleric: she probably has snake eyes and patches of scales on places she can hide rather well, beside of her neck. she’s rather introverted and also doesnt enjoy other people very much. she has a charm to her but she wont show that unless she has to. besides of that she’s a death cleric and therefore welcomes death & views it in a positive light as a natural thing. she also has a twin sister called saheera, who belogns to my sister & we still have to flesh them out a bit more :) all i can say atm is that she would probably not help anybody else than her twin.. lol
