if i had a dollar for every mentor/mentee (father/son? older/younger brother? your pick) dynamic between a suicidal yet smart and practical man with many talents and a mysterious past in organized crime trying to hide his despair with humor and charm, and an orphan who can (at least partially) turn into a white tiger who got involved in a slightly shady business he's not entirely qualified for where he tries to remain optimistic and inspire those around him despite his rough past and self worth issues, I'd have 2 dollars. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
