Guess I'm becoming the news reporter for this one (mama) but I don't want that role so this is the last time I'm talking about this shit because why the fuck would I continue
Is MamaAintTakinShit a troll or just a piece of shit?
(a rant post)
How good is their evidence?
Hmm, uhhh fucking dogshit. It's mostly just fucking "Oh you fucking like dream SMP so that means your a pedo proshipper racist groomer bitch!!!!", which uh isn't even dirt. Lots of people have liked them, I wasn't one so maybe I'm dumb but tf? Also feel like they think most furries have a beastiality fetish but won't get into that.
Also Idk why they don't screenshoot some of their evidence that was deleted or try to find a way of how it was archived, as they are trying to expose the fandom, correct?
2. How mean are they?
They are really rude, they generalize the whole fandom saying they are pedos, proshippers, racists, and that we all are committing copyright. If they really actually wanted to spread dirt on people, they would at least be nice to the good ones. But instead their messages are rude as hell. They seem to hate Cookie Run as well, so we might not even be the only fandom they are exposing, unsure about this however.
They also seem to mean to blogs with not much attention when I'm basically the only person who ever fed them. They also told me to invest into a computer, which is funny because I'm 13, how the fuck am I supposed to do that? I thought it was obvious how old I was, you think I can invest money?
Anyways, they also believe headcanons = canon as they say Carol Cross in most likely in her 50s, which uh... no she's not?? Also saying Buckethat is a child/teen, when they literally have like one appearance?
3. Racism
They seem pretty fucking racist. They love to say white for every shitty person they see. And I checked for you guys who don't believe white people can be racist to white people, they're black. And yes, you can be racist to white people, racism isn't just for the minorities. Also they accuse that drug use is a racist trope so take that as you will
4. Are they a troll or not?
Uh... scary thing is... I still don't know. They act like a picsart troll, so probably? They have no likable qualities, they are borderline racist, they assume a lot of things but yet... they are also just another toxic twitter user. This is the shit I saw daily when I used to go on twitter, so uh, I actually doubt them being a full on troll, though I do believe their opinions are much more exaggerated
5. A little message for mama!
I know your stalking this blog or really, whatever blogs you can grab on. I know I'm feeding you with all my attention like a mother to a baby, because that's what you basically are. You whine, you cry. and you scream when things don't go your way. I'll even rewrite this whole goddamn rant about your ass on that blog you last reblogged on your other account, anon!
Is it petty? Is it just pure spite? I don't know, it doesn't matter because all the attention is on you! Your the star of the shitshow. If you are a troll, go reveal yourself as one now, but just know that it isn't going to save you. None of us care or will accept you again, unless you really change, but I doubt you will. Go back to twitter, your homeland, you piece of shit.

Not to be super sappy or anything, but I was just thinking about fandom vs meatspace friendships, how they're discussed, and how they form—
And it struck me that some fandom friendships don't just live up to the substance of meatspace friendships, but in some ways, can actually be more substantial, because they form under relatively consistent conditions.
In "real" life, people can become friends for a huge variety of reasons, but an intrinsic part in general is being in fairly close physical proximity at some point. Sometimes you become friends because you were roommates, or your parents were friends first and you played together as kids, or you met in college, or at work, or whatever. But you do have to meet in person for some reason or another, and usually that meeting is a happy byproduct of some coincidental reason you happened to be in the same place at the same time.
But being a friendly neighbor in fandom terms isn't precipitated by physical proximity, but by caring about the same kinds of things.
And sometimes it's really nice not to have to justify why X matters to you, because even if your fandom friend has moved on, they usually remember caring about the thing, and are familiar with a lot of the details that you'd have to explain (or often, would choose to never explain) to a friend you met because you walk your dogs in the same park.
And part of it is the basic fact of being in fandom, even if it ends up being different fandoms, because you don't have to—you know, justify writing/reading fanfic, tone down your investment in certain characters or dynamics, or pretend to be cool and fun (some people in fandom try to be cool, but uh. lol). It's not that you know a more "real" side of fandom friends than the people you know in person, but you do often know a different side they aren't always going to show many others in their lives.
I was thinking back, and it was fandom friends like @brynnmclean and @ladytharen and @incognitajones who encouraged me when I was writing a f!Cassian Andor fic in which the core Rogue One cast are all queer (Cassia herself is lesbian). That project was what I'd work on when I was dealing with the homophobia of my Mormon/Catholic families and background, but also felt Not Gay Enough pressure from more progressive types in my life.
It meant a lot to me to hear awful shit and then be able to turn around and write an emphatically gay fic that culminates in a clearly established romantic relationship and marriage proposal. But also, I wasn't about to talk about it with RL friends who don't get fanfic, much less genderbending fanfic, much less gay genderbending fanfic.
Like, the last and most substantive part was written mostly for myself but also for a prompt from @ladytharen and with that encouragement from other fandom friends—it was tied up in processing homophobia and with online friendships with people who could understand why doing this mattered so much to me, and who intrinsically cared about at least roughly similar things.
And sometimes irl friendships or relationships are with people who Get Fandom, or maintained by having equally substantial common interests or whatnot, for sure. But for me, at least, that's really nice when it happens, but definitely a perk, while I virtually never become fandom friends with people unless we actively shared interests and activities at some point. And ... idk, I think people who dismiss online and especially fandom friendships don't get how significant common interests can be for some of us.

for the fandom asks: B-R-I-D-G-E-T-O-W-N
B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind
I'm actually not sure! I mean I guess for Harry Potter, it'd be anything but Harry/Hermione lol bc I had TUNNEL VISION on that ship when i was like 11. Maybe Drarry? I guess? I think that's the only one I've gone from "dear god no" to "omg yes they ARE totally obsessed with each other in a gay way"
R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships
-gestures to my 14 neville longbottom/anthony goldstein fics- I wouldn't say no one else, but I would say it's probably my rarest pair. unless we consider neville berbrooke/gregory bridgerton (from, uh, bridgerton), in which case I may actually be the only person to write it.
I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why
Fullmetal Alchemist, because the shippers are batshit fucking insane and take really complex and interesting dynamics and water them down to the most asinine mundane bullshit and then claim it's progressive, and on the other side you have... people ignoring a really complex and interesting dynamic to focus on a ship that imo makes no actual sense. 2013 was A Time. If I were on twitter, the answer would be Bridgerton bc the homophobia from the book fans is insaaaaaaaane but I avoid mainstream Bridgerton fandom like the plague and find my own little niches where homophobes aren't welcome.
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t (again: be nice)
I'm pretty open to most ships? There are some I'm just not invested in, but eh.
G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it
Like, first-first? Ash and Misty from Pokémon. First fandomy? Harry/Hermione. And clearly I have not moved on from friends to lovers, looking at the body of my work on ao3
E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what
I have a secret ("secret") crackfic account that you're welcome to try to find.
T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)
Regulus Black and Edmund Pevensie are gay. So is Charlie Weasley. This is my hill to die on.
O - Choose a song at random, which ship or character does it remind you of
listen, I just put my spotify on shuffle and it gave me "JENNIFER CHECK" by Mia Morgan and. Mirnatius Spinning Silver.
W - 5 favorite ships and 5 kinks you like best for said ships
I'm assuming we mean actual kinks here? 1. maybe this is cheating but Regulus/Max. I don't care if he's an OC, this is what my heart says. I feel like they're pretty vanilla, though. 2. Gareth/Hyacinth from Bridgerton and pegging 100000% 3. Newt/Tina (autism4autism pure romance), and again: pegging. 4. Regulus/Evan and probably something a little fucked up like bloodplay 5. Mirnatius/Irina (Spinning Silver), and... idk actually. I feel like he'd get off on being tied up.
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
"main" fandom is such a loaded term lol - I wish Bridgerton had more gay fic though, and was just overall less hostile to m/m and f/f that isn't gross fetishy (poorly understood & executed) kink shit that's poorly written besides (looking @ u, ash). like. soooo much actually good f/f and m/m fic gets SLEPT on but something that's out of a gross fetishy lesbian porno gets praise bc a well-known and shitty author wrote it? ugh.

This is a very common blorbo complaint we have with Mac n Cheese but personally I'm fired up that there's canonically two women named Lucy in his life prior to the events of Fallout 4, and there's ALSO two NPCs in the game named Lucy as well
1) Lucy from Little Lamplight
2) Lucy he met on his travels who is not from LL, his canon wife
3) Lucy Abernathy of Abernathy Farm fame
4) Lucy Grandchester in Nuka-World
That makes four (4) Lucys in this chickenshit game and I just Name repeating for no reason in media is just one of those little writing pet peeves that really pickles my onion because names are given for a reason and continuity and clarity matters sometimes
There's also lots of names you can give people? There isn't really a shortage. You can even make them up
