[TIGER WITH DRAGON'S WINGS -- Sabertooth verse]

After the events of the Battle of Fairy Tail, Laxus was excommunicated from Fairy Tail by Makarov. As with canon, he left the Raijinshuu behind and didn't look back. Unlike canon, instead of returning to assist Fairy Tail with battling Grimoire Heart on Tenrou, he joined up with Sabertooth during his travels, missing the x791 Grand Magic Games due to a job running longer than intended. He did show up in the audience during the last days and assisted in the battles with the dragons after the opening of the Eclipse Gate, but did not linger long, avoiding any contact with Fairy Tail.

Laxus's demeanor in this verse is even more closed off than usual, but as with canon he has mellowed considerably since Sabertooth's change in leadership. There is little malice to be had between himself and Fairy Tail at present; he simply feels he wasn't compatible with the guild's structure.

He may also harbor doubts he deserves to return, after the pain he caused the guild.
