Finally able to post my piece for the Cup of Jojo zine! 🌟 I wanted to show some love for the side villains in Stardust Crusaders, so I decided to draw some of them hanging out at the Oingo Boingo Brothers Café!☕️🍵🍰 I did a bit of research while drawing this piece, so here are a few fun facts:

The café interior is inspired by several real-life Egyptian coffee shops. Mariah and Midler are also playing backgammon in the foreground bc I saw that it's commonly-played game in these types of coffee shops!

All the food/sweets are dishes that would be found in the region: Basbousa, kunafa, om ali, revani, shawarma, falafel, and Spiro Spathis soda. Deffo made me very hungry while I was researching! Personally I wanna try the kunafa 😋

I was going to include Pet Sounds (the parrot from Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak) next to Pet Shop, but since we had to stick to mainline JJBA characters, I drew Daniel J. D'arby's cat instead.

Hol Horse is reading a travel guide featuring Mt. Fuji, which is a nod to him traveling to Japan in CDDH.

My favourite part of this piece was drawing the Oingo Boingo-style paintings on the wall!

A non-rhyming poem I made for this drawing under the cut:

I made friends with the monster in my closet

Everyday I live with the shadow of death looming over me, but it's just the manifestation of who I am inside

I saw the face of the reaper one day, and thought I was going to die. It turns out he was there to save me from it...

Ironic, neverending darkness envelopes me like a warm blanket

The only thing to hold me, dressed in a dark cloak, a menacing hooded figure brings me the only peace I've ever known.

This decaying cadaver strikes fear into those around me.

However, I feel no fear when I gaze into the sunken eyes of the skeletal figure in front of me,

I made friends with the monster in my closet.

TW: Scopophobia and Yandere behavior

I am very sorry for disappearing for the last few days, it's just I've been working on this for the last few days before Halloween, it took two all nighters in a span of three days, but it's done...I did take a long nap before uploading though.

That being said, as you would've guessed by the previous drawings I did, I've been on an Eris Raitt(my Jojo OC) kick since mid-October because I wanted to draw her for Halloween, this creepy drawing was to celebrate it... or just to creep out my followers who don't celebrate it lol

Anyways, the story here is that the servants(including my other Jojo OC Medea) felt a sudden chill in the air, like something bad has entered the mansion and is suffocating them, so they went to the third-floor bedroom to warn DIO of this bad feeling, only to find that the bedroom door was slightly open.

Medea pulled the door open and found a frightening sight:

Eris Raitt has snuck into the mansion and was inside the room caressing a sleeping DIO's face, even worse; when she felt like she was being watched, Eris looked at the servants while making a very disturbing expression akin to that of a ghost in a Japanese horror story*, possibly caused by her Stand power.

Needless to say, three of the servants were absolutely terrified by the display and couldn't move as they're paralyzed by her eyes.... except for Vanilla Ice, he was more angry at DIO's space being invaded than he is scared of Eris herself and was ready to sic his Stand [Cream] after her butt over this discretion.

Thankfully DIO woke up to the noise and angrily yelled at everyone to get out of his room, he started locking the doors from now on.

*I may or may not have based Eris' expression off of Hachishakusama
