Now that I think about it, little MissingVee here might've ultimately led me down the slope to discovering I'm not as cis, heterosexual, or heteroromantic as I originally thought I was.

For a bit of context, Vee's gender was literally created to be inconsistent and fluid, mostly as an excuse to experiment back in the days of my roleplaying on Tumblr after coming home from high school (a bit after the release of Gen 7). Though gradually, I began leaning more into characters that were queer in some way after I created them as I realized "hey, I'm starting to feel pretty comfortable writing these characters", and the rest is history.

Fitting that the realization would all snowball from an Eevee of all things.

Imagine being hit by Swift, Magical Leaf, and Sheer Cold all combined, and spread all over the place by Fairy Wind.

'do the pink crystal.' Kyu held his note pad, slightly interested.

❔— They nodded, currently in their normal Pokémon form. "Alright," they said, attaching the pink crystal to the cuff before slipping it on. A perfect fit. "Hmm... I don't really feel all that different," they said, reaching to touch the crystal. "I wonder what happens if..." Doink. Suddenly a pink aura exploded from the crystal, engulfing MissingVee before it soon vanished, the hybrid itself glowing pink, sort of like how Totem Pokémon glow orange. "Huh, I wonder what just.." They take a look at their stats and their eyes go wide. MissingVee Level: 93HP: 5/5ATK: 4DEF: 7SP.ATK: 8SP.DEF: 8SPD: 530❔— ..... The hybrid was just.. speechless... It appeared the crystal boosted a stat to the maximum level while turning the others to absolute sh*t to compensate. They showed Kyu their new stats under the effect of the pink aura. Before putting the device back in their bag. "I wonder how fast I am now," they pondered aloud before getting into a start position.❔— They took off, and they kicked up a large cloud of dust behind them, already breaking the sound barrier. Vee had officially become a blur, speeding across the entirety of the island with lightning speed. I mean, who needs boats when you can just run across the ocean. They stopped in front of Kyu, breaking a nearby wall in the process of stopping with the wind. "That... was pretty intense..." They turned to look at Kyu, only having been gone about a minute.

Sides, if what’s happening back on the continent is anything like what happened 30 years ago, this should be over in the span of a few months to a year.”

Vee stares blankly for a moment before quickly smacking himself on the forehead in embarrassment. “Well, I feel kinda silly now. She did look a little like that. I don’t know how the nature of existences like her and Solaris effect that kind of thing, though she did say that it took a fair bit longer for me than the norm.”

“Not really. According to her, she’s barely changed ever since she cheated death. She’s still alive thanks to what I’m assuming are her willpower and a bit of magic. Technically, her body is permanently in the moments before she would’ve perished.” Vee just gives a shrug, letting out a sigh. “Admittedly, I hardly understand any of this stuff myself.”

Vee’s face just lit up like a Christmas tree upon hearing that, looking over at Hope. Of course, he’d thought about it himself at a few points, though he was afraid of having to leave them. What if something happened while he was gone? What if he wasn’t a good parent? What if he repeated his own father’s mistake? What if... Well, you get the idea.

“I... I mean, I wouldn’t be opposed to that... I’m just afraid of... well, of letting you guys down.” His ears drooped again. “I wanted to ask you about it for a while, but all of these doubts just flood my mind...”

Things have been getting intense over there last I heard.”

Though unless he can turn himself into a Pokemon for the visit, I’m sure he’d get a lot of weird looks.” He let out a sigh. “Humans are still a very rare thing on the continent, with only a handful or two knowing of where the only three humans are.”

As for what I’ve been up to, mostly just exploring the different realms, looking for ancient relics. Though I thought I’d drop by and see how my beautiful mate has been doing.”
