I just finished Shadowbringers (5.0 anyway) and holy shit is it good

Without getting into spoiler territory, the whole thing was consistently very, very good. Writing and acting were standouts, though even the gameplay tied in really well with the themes of seeing the worth even in a broken world and fighting for what’s left, choosing action over despair. The characters were all fantastic, even those I’d been lukewarm at best on before this expansion. 

I have lots of Feelings about it now, am probably going to take a few days to Process them, and no doubt my inner critic will start picking it apart such that it’s brought down a few pegs but right now, in the fresh aftermath, it is elevated in my mind to one of the best Stories i’ve interacted with (read, watched, played, role-played) in a good long while. 

I get misty-eyed over lots of things, I’m a sap, but in addition to that I got kinda choked up and literally felt that lump in my chest of Emotion that I get so rarely (apart from maybe like, Rejection Dysphoria, lol) and even now am like, ever so slightly short of breath from the sheer mass of dumb vijemo game feelings.

hey so my computer is kinda... fucked. i mean, everything works except video games. but i rather like video games and cannot play them because

...and I can’t figure out how to reinstall that program which should apparently be a part of windows ALREADY and it must’ve somehow gotten deleted? Somehow? I’ve googled this several times but I don’t understand the (often conflicting) directions on wtf to do.

ME:A won’t even start but like... literally all my games, even my very low-intensity games, just will not run for shit. Massive delays in response time, framerates comparable to a bored middle-aged tourist giving you a slideshow. I am assuming that this is because of the same .dll problem but I could be wrong about that.

Anybody got any suggestions? I’d rather like to be able to play video games again. :-/

actually woke up at a decent time this morning and did some stuff, including painting up the last of the terrain from drop force: imperator, building the galvanic servohaulers i swapped with a guy for, clipping a ton more ‘bricks’ from straight lengths of sprue, and makin’ a big dinner for everybody.

so yeah: did some things. how about it, brain, do i feel accomplished? can i have a shot of that serotonin stuff? or dopamine? whichever one it is that makes you feel like you actually Achieved Something. can i?

mreh. pics of the terrain bits tomorrow probably. they’ve got varnish drying on them right now and i don’t... feel like waiting for them to dry. just gonna play some vijemo games or smth until i collapse.

Updating to Windows 10, hoping it fixes whatever software got scrombled such that I couldn't play my vijemo games.
