The year kicked off with this great big Punjabi celebrity wedding that had us claiming

From being modern and sending out only e-vites to having a traditional intimate Sikh ceremony, they did everything their own ‘phenomenal’ way and we louuuuved it!

Sonam Kapoor’s wedding attire was created by fashion designers Anamika Khanna, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and Anuradha Vakil. While our Bhane groom Anand Ahuja looked dapper in Raghavendra Rathore.

Royally Dolled up!

Sonam’s sangeet look was white and gold brilliance bAbu Jani-Sandeep Khosla with a beautiful crochet lace blouse and jadau jewellery that spoke of sheer delicate elegance. Add to that the pretty jhumkas and fresh flowers braided in her hair… and we can see our own ‘Masakali’ taking flight!

Their Bollywood-style sangeet saw the Kapoor clan i.e. Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya, Anshula and others dancing the night away from ‘Abhi to Party Shuru Hui Hai’ to songs from her upcoming Veere Di Wedding!

Ranveer Singh and Arjun danced to Anil Kapoor’s ‘My Name Is Lakhan’… and the sangeet pictures and videos that went viral showed entire B town having a blast!

Sonam gave us D-day goals by going the traditional route, as she looked totally “jhakaas” in the red lehenga by Anuradha Vakil. She donned multi-stranded pearls mathapatti on her head, a gold choker, stunning raani haar necklace and lovely haathphool.

At her star studded reception, Sonam surprised us with simple elegance as she wore a chevron-striped Anamika Khanna  lehenga. A multi-layered kundan neckpiece was all it took to glam up the ensemble.

Their adorable chemistry and ever happy connection, had us showering all heart emojis. Just like all Disney princesses, Yuvika found her ‘Prince’ Charming and had the most dreamy wedding!

This was one of the most awaited Celebrity Weddings of 2018, and decided to keep it an immediate family and closest friends affair. Everything screamed royalty in the heart of Italy at Villa del Balbianello.

Konkani traditions in full swing

The couple got hitched in both Konkani and Sindhi style, and both were styled head to toe in Sabyasachi. For their Konkani wedding, both dressed traditionally and especially Ranveer surprised all in his ‘good groom’ gold veshti, silk kurta and angavastram.

For the Sindhi wedding, the couple complemented each other in ravishing red attires by Sabya, but we are totally crushing over her wedding dupatta that had the sanskrit shlok “Sada Saubhgyavati Bhava” sewn along the borders – now that’s how you start a trend!

Soon after, they hosted a reception in Bengaluru where Deepika wore a stunning emerald choker by Sabyasachi, while her Kanjivaram pure zari gold saree was given to her by her mother from Angadi Galleria. And Ranveer in Rohit Bal black velvet sherwani.

For their second reception,both looked regal in classic gold on ivory outfits. Deepika’s  Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla’s ensemble looked heavenly which Ranveer matched in a Rohit Bal sherwani.

But they saved the most glamorous look for last, which stopped us right in our tracks! Deepika sizzled in a ravishing red gown and long veil by famed designer Zuhair Murad…

For the Hindu wedding, Nick arrived on a ‘ghodi’ with full Indian style baraat, and both him and Priyanka looked royal in gorgeous Sabyasachi outfits.

But it was their Christian wedding that took away the cake! Beautifully officiated by Nick’s father, the wedding saw the couple was dressed in custom Ralph Lauren. And never before has he created a custom wedding gown for any bride anywhere!

The festivities concluded with a grand reception at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, where Priyanka looked angelic in a frosted nude lehenga by Falguni Shane Peacock that was adorned with millions of Swarovski crystals.

It’s just amazing to see how our Desi Girl and Videshi babu honored both their traditions at the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace. But people will be talking for ages about the stunning Ralph Lauren gown and it’s fairy-tale trail!

Priyanka Nick Wedding – A Dreamy Fairytale Affair!

Papa’s Doll!

The most extravagant celebrity wedding of the year, and it all started when Anand proposed to Isha at a temple in Mahabaleshwar. Their engagement took place at Lake Como in Italy where Isha looked stunning in a nude Dolce Gabbana dress, while Anand rocked the Indian look in traditional attire.

Then started the grand pre wedding festivities at Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur in December. They began on a serene note with the Anna Seva and Maha Aarti, where Isha was shimmering in a custom made Manish Malhotra hand crafted lehenga paired with that stunning solitaire diamond set that had us bedazzled!

At the grand sangeet that followed, Isha looked ravishing in her gold embellished ensemble by Manish Malhotra, who also designed the entire sangeet decor to perfection!

And if that wasn’t enough, we were witness to the performance of none other than Queen Bey, which took Indian Celebrity Weddings to a whole new level!

With the sangeet hangover still very much present, we were back to Mumbai and treated to baraat, pheras and everything grand at the awe-inspiring Antilia. Isha wore this gorgeous Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla hand embroidered lehenga and we’re totally loving how she paired her mother’s 35 year old wedding sari (panetar) as the dupatta!

From the couple’s color coded wedding outfits to the luxurious decor by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, the enviable guest list and jaw-dropping food – everything was straight out of a fairytale!

After the lavish wedding, the Ambanis hosted two starry receptions. The first one was hosted by the Piramal’s at their residence where Isha looked gorgeous in a swanky lehenga custom created by the Italian fashion house Valentino!

The second reception at Jio Gardens, saw a magical performance by the music maestro A.R. Rahman. Isha wore a custom velvet lehenga from Sabyasachi’s zardosi revival series and looked regal, to say the least!

Next, Isha was styled head to toe in Sabyasachi  for her Graha Shanti Pooja in a custom hand-painted, hand-embroidered tilla-work lehenga and antique bandhej dupatta.
