#severance #severance spoilers #i really like how dylan's arc this season really was the tension between his family (outie life) and his friends (innie life). we see in th #s1 finale how he sacrifices his opportunity to see his kid again just so that his friends get the same chance as him. s2 explores how he #struggles his deep need to be with his family and his loyalty towards the rest of MDR. irving dying and helly and mark's romantic drama is #what pushes him to dedicate himself fully to gretchen and the idea of his family but ultimately it doesn't work out. and it's devastating #enough that he tries to kill himself over it. he can't have his family so what's the point. but when he gets another chance at life it's #like 'fuck it. if family isn't my purpose then my friends will be.' and so the ending shot of this season being dylan leading the charge of #a whole army of innies ready to fight for their right to live giving a confident 'fuck you' to milchick versus his s1 ending shot when it #was just him alone up against milchick is really inspiring. dylan's choice of loyalty to his fellow innies is rewarded and is so satisfying #dylan g. union leader next season !#also to me it kinda empasizes how the core of the show is still solidarity between workers. mark s screamed and fought his way into getting #his friends back in episode 1 and dylan's ultimate choice in e10 to dedicate himself to his friends is just a continuation of that same #theme. they went through so much hardship and loss this season but the endpoint is still them choosing one another and choosing to fight #back together #s3 will have dylan mark helly + all the other severed workers hold down the fort before irving crashes back in halfway through the season #with his one million anti lumon forces TRUST
