Watching the Sandman and so far it’s good and trying very hard to be faithful while also making the story more streamlined for Netflix but somehow that is making me Tense because the American Gods TV show was also good and faithful at first and then went TOTALLY off the rails and every frame of Sandman some part of me is thinking

#Neil Gaiman #sandman #not too sound too much like someone who stans a 60 year old british author but hollywood is REALLY good at fucking up #Neil Gaiman's stories #and I know this isn't 'Hollywood' exactly but you get it #adaptations of his works don't always work because they try to make them less 'weird'#when what makes Neil Gaiman's shit so good is how unapologetically weird it is #that's not the only problem as well. he also likes to have 5000 things happening at once #which reads really interesting on the page #then gets cluttered as fuck on a screen #and of course there's clueless producers that don't give a shit and just want a quick buck #i have no strong feelings about this at all #the sandman #sandman netflix
