me playing this game like 'do i even like dr*gon age anymore--'
#im realizing i can better articulate some of the flaws in how that franchise is written given how galdur bait handles the same issues#one franchise allows total freedom and clear moral choices and impact where there is good evil and grey inbetween.#the other was written by neoliberal white guys and iirc a violent ableist who are so focused on making a 'grey' narrative#where oppression can be deserved and 'well this faction enslaves and abuses others but it helps the world so...'#that it literally strips any morality from a choice. there is no good only naive. there is no bad only pragmatic.#which in a better story could work. but it's so pointedly strangling storytelling opportunities to remain neutral.#whereas in gb3 i can just punt kids off a cliff if it's ic. or i can play hero and disgust multiple party members.#impact. meaning. storytelling. you feel me?#out of stories
