Hey so i had sent you a long ask a while back saying (saying a looong variation of:) i don't always comment on lsts but i hope you know it's an amazing fic loved by many. Idk if you saw it but i'm seeing you share things about struggling to write so just hoping you're okay and not being too hard on yourself.

I also saw the spoiler post you shared so if you'd like, I'd love to hear about what you have in mind next for the fic or just more world building fun facts, I love the universe and would die for cumbs 🖤

+I'm interested in learning more about your Daemon too (his reaction alongside corlys' are my most awaited lmao) did he have more time with alyssa in this universe? Were his antics and daemyra controversial for the gp or just regular targ shenanigans?

i have been a little stumped on certain parts of the next chapter but hoping the end is in sight — also though, my life's just a bit busier than it used to be 🥲 mostly good things! i promise any stuff i reblog or post about struggling to write is just me lightheartedly poking fun at myself 💕

for a spoiler — pre-situationship lucemond and jace once took (read: were sent by their moms on) a road-trip to pick aegon up from rehab. aegon, not wanting to go back to king's landing, gave them the address of one in dorne that'd been closed for a decade. luke has so many photos of jace kneeling in the desert from when they found out, in dorne 💀 (aegon was in the riverlands)

(footage from luke's phone, circa 5 years before the events of lsts: a shaky zoom in of jace, many yards away, staring off into the distant dunes with a defeated stance. aemond's voice, flat: "this is fucked up." camera pans to him, looking disgruntled and ridiculous in sunglasses, zinc, and a protective hat)

ngl daemon's real-time reaction to the pregnancy news fell a bit out of the story's scope while i was writing lmao 😭 i promise him being more relegated to the background has a purpose! for those curious, daemon probably would've condescendingly chuckled at them if he was there 💀

alyssa still dies when daemon is fairly young because i think something like losing a parent significantly alters a character and how i portray them, and the age it happens matters too, so i tried to keep certain deaths in line with canon! for the same reason laena still dies when rhaena and baela are about 6 (and daemon only waits 6 months to marry rhaenyra, which is still outrageous by modern westerosi standards 🫠). same with the velaryon boys and harwin dying around the same time as them "losing" laenor — though that'll be explored more later :)
