not sure if its really the right choice to read when home sick but leech is sooooooo good jesus christ
#leech#hiron ennes#without spoiling things because ive been told by every review and other reader i know that this is a book you go into BLIND AS POSSIBLE#it is about what if the conflict from 'a desolation called peace' but played with zero positive outcome#and also what if the fomorra from bbc merlin but played 1000% for horror#i love it#i keep thinking that the setting is more french canada than france . like obviously it's all post-post-apocalyptic#and french alps makes more sense given the mountains#but also the ventigeaux. which just seem more eastern woodlands if they have anything to do with#other tall once-men Things That Will Eat You#which is maybe the part of this book im iffiest on . is the ventigeaux. but more from a standpoint of 'can they write that?'#which i dont know enough about the author to say yay or nay so i wont get too in the weeds about it
