This is a new WIP, basically. I've got 350 words and I'll share about half that:

Hiccup looked out of the Clubhouse to see Astrid astride Stormfly while both were followed by… one, two, three Nadders. Astrid looked very irritated. When Stormfly landed, Astrid immediately hopped off of her, and turned to face the Nadders that were still following and ROARED at them. Fully yelled at them.

“Fuck off!” Astrid yelled. “Go on! Get!”

The Nadders all made surprised squawks and scattered, flying away from the Clubhouse.

“Ah, stay in the Clubhouse, Stormfly, over there,” Astrid ordered her dragon, pointing to another part of the building that was more secluded and built into the existing rock.

Stormfly went where she was directed.

Astrid then sat down at the table, with a loud sigh, closing her eyes.

“Any particular reason you’re yelling at other Nadders?” Hiccup asked, carefully. Not wanting to draw her ire.

“They’re boys,” Astrid finally said, sounding weary.

“Uhhhh,” Hiccup drawled, awkwardly.

“And she’s in heat,” Astrid added.

“Oh,” Hiccup said.

“And she’s fired upon at least one Nadder,” Astrid added.

“Okay, yep,” Hiccup said. “Got it. You’re protecting her.”
