Next is Shore Leave! Adore this episode!!! Brief Summary: The crew is granted shore leave, but while down on the planet, wild manifestations of their thoughts come to life. Thoughts: Okay so we start out the episode with Kirk getting a kink in his back and thinking Spock is massaging him, but upon realizing it’s the beautiful yeoman he gets embarrassed and tells her to stop. I literally don’t have any idea what’s happening with these two anymore lmao Moving right along, Bones and Sulu are checking out the planet to see if it’s suitable for shore leave. Sulu collects plants like the nerdy botanist he is, while Bones manifests a big white rabbit and Alice herself. 🐇 So apparently the planet is completely uninhabited, but there’s a gun!? Kirk finally relents and beams down to the planet for some shore leave (and to meet up with Bones who scared he’s hallucinating lol) McCoy discovers footprints of a giant rabbit so Kirk decides to put shore leave officially on hold. Sulu has apparently found the gun and is shooting it over and over, not once questioning why it’s weird that a gun he’s always wanted just happens to be there 😂 Kirk tells McCoy about someone named Finnegan at starfleet academy who used to play jokes on him and then minutes later he appears. They fight until Kirk hears yeoman Barrows being attacked by Don Juan lol Then Kirk is surprised to see a very pretty woman from his past named Ruth. Damn, I love 60’s makeup. It’s been 15 years and she hasn’t aged at all, and Kirk is mesmerized lmao Oooo! We get Bones flirting with yeoman Barrows!
