I'll admit that I haven't seen s2 save for like, 3 Zimon scenes bc I've seen this exact plot yrs ago and I'm not interested lol I'm guessing they want to save face by having them interact ("oh no we did not completely disregard their Friendship see!")? make it make sense. I'm guessing Zoey decided she wanted to be with the manchild (despite expressing 0 desire for him the majority of s1) right around the time the writers realized how annoyingly loud their fandom was lol
I honestly was so surprised that Zoey and Max had so many fans? Like I was here, in my lil corner on tumblr, reblogging gifsets and being happy shipping Zimon bc I, honestly, kinda can’t stand Max lmao and now with S2 I’ve found out that tons of people love Zoey and Max and I don’t get it??? Like I don’t see the chemistry, it was so fkn sudden on Zo’s part, Max just feels so entitled and whiny and... ugh I’m actually thinking on giving maybe a couple of episodes more and then, if it doesn’t get better, I’ll quit watching because it’s not even entertaining outside of the ships.
If you don’t mind asking, in what show did you see this happening? I feel like it’s something that happens a lot, it pisses me off.

Okay, I can see why people are heating their asses up with that "tHeY cOpY LeD ZeP" opinion but guess fucking what? I don't care. It takes a rare genius to go totally original nowadays and I think that we are at the point in which humanity seems to glitch when it comes to creativity in general. Nothing seems new anymore and only few anomalies in the matrix blow our socks off. Everything and everybody takes inspiration and copy from the others and it's always been like that, not only in music.
So.
• Do I care that Greta Van Fleet sounds like well-known-bands? No.
• Are they original? At the moment not that much but:
• Do I think that they can go even bolder? Yes, I sure hope they does go bolder in the future and discover their own unique sound and make a mark in the rock genre.
• Do I like them? Yes, I do.
And that being said, I'll add that it's actually pretty nice to see a group of kids rocking again like the masters did in the '70s. I miss classic/hard rock and GVF is giving me the same vibes that Airbourne and The Darkness gave me when they dropped their first albums (by the way, we all remember the Discourse about them being a copycat of AC/DC, right? Lmao, the irony). Back to basics is a power move nowadays and I'm glad that somebody is finally doing this.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Alright, the time has come: I’m giving Greta Van Fleet a try. LET’S SEE WHAT IS ALL OF THAT FUSS ABOUT 👀
