I remember it all

I remember nothing

I remember mundane details of the worst days of my life. Red lights. Cool brick against palms tattered sheets silver doorknobs in a blue tiled bathroom

I have to ask

If anyone who’s hurt me remembers me at all. It’s hard to reconcile

I might be only a fixture in the background of a room with red lights

My face

Isn’t real to them anymore. Time has passed

I will fade into memory.

They're operating pop-up kitchens, delivering food and medicine to medical posts, and running water trucks wherever they can.

I was forced to flee my home and now survive alone in a tent made of torn fabric in southern Gaza.

The constant bombings are overwhelming, but being a lesbian in a society that rejects me is far more unbearable.

I live in constant fear of violence and judgment, with severe shortages of food, water, and essential supplies. Each day is a struggle for survival.
