SAM Exhibition
I went there with shah as we were doing our research and finding inspiration for our FYPJ2 and decided to hop in SAM to have a look and check this out yo...

A.W.E.S.O.M.E
It looks like a big wing but look again, it was made using slippers. This kind of installation art; using simple thing to create something surreal always inspires me to think out of the box and notice simple/daily thing that we have today.

Another kind of art that I like; mix-media, using 3D objects/pieces to make it 'pop' out. I love looking at this kind of mix-media art as it is always different. Like no one could/would copy exactly like the existing ones. It is something unique to me. Love it so much!

Look this style of art. It looks messy (more of look cool to me) but I will always try to figure out the message/story behind this kind of art. Awesomeness!

I swear this freaked me out! There is a curtain before you enter to this particular exhibit and I was shocked (actually sacred) when I saw this army troop facing me and it just freak me out. Very interactive yet scary. I look at it just for a awhile and move on to the other, it is just so "real".

I didn't know that we are not supposed to touch the exhibit until I went to the door and saw the warning sign. Opps! This classroom scene had deep meaning on what happened to the students in one of the asian country, could remember but I think Thailand/Indonesia.

Oh yes, no wonder Jurong(where I live) is sooooooo hot! Why must ALL the factories be in Jurong. Not fair! >:(

Widget Development!
So for the widget, I thought of doing something related to memories. And for some reason, this idea came to me after I saw a vending machine.
Before we purchase something from the vending machine, first we have to make a choice.
So in my case the option is definitely not drinks or snacks but its memories instead.

Interesting quote!
" Life is short so Break the Rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss Slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably and Never regret anything that makes you smile."
— Mark Twain
" Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens."

Research
Idea:
If tomorrow is the last day on earth, everyone will definitely be spending the last few hours shivering in fear. But I will not going to try something that I've never try before or trying to get what I've always wanted because I think the final few hours is the most priceless hours and instead of TRYING to do something, I would rather use that time to ENJOY as much as I can with the people around me, things around me, and all the beautiful places around me.
And to me, besides just spending the precious moments with my love ones and enjoying the last few hours on earth, I would really love to just sit on a quiet, peaceful place alone and just enjoying the view, just relax and reflect.
Reflect on what I have done in my 18+ yrs of life, flashback those priceless moments and just lay my head back. And just wait for things to happen. But I know that deep down, I will have this little hope inside of me. A hope that something miracle will happen or hope that this is all a dream. But whatever it is, I will just leave it to my prayers, fate and destiny.

MOUSE AND ROLL
My re-define Input.
User will have to click the red box and colourful balls will then flood their screen while loading.
Welcome page:

When it has finish loading, a welcome note will appear on the screen and that is when the new experience begins! User will be doing a trial on how to move around on the screen by having to clear all the other balls out of the stage/screen. Instruction will be given at the bottom of the page to guide them.
When they have finished clearing all the balls, they will then asked to click the blue ball to enter the HOME page.
Trial page:

Again they have to follow the instruction below to navigate.
Home page:

This is a slow motion page when the colourful balls will be bouncing around in a very low speed. Everything will be very slow including their cursor (lagging).
Goal #1: This is to make them realize the usefulness of the mouse; save a lot of our time especially designers (target audience).
Slow motion page:

History page:

Basically my re-design mouse is round and soft, like a ball. There will be sensors at all the 4 corners of the ball to detect the direction of the ball being rolled, 2 USB port and to click, you will just have to squeeze the ball. Being soft, it is also good for the hand and fingers. Having to roll to navigate, it is fast, easy and fun!
Why I did so?
Goal #2: Because I want them to appreciate the mouse and I have seen many times, user hitting the mouse on the table when it lag or when cursor is not moving. It is not like I pity the mouse of what but I just hate the attitude of such user and to hit it many times, it is just so annoying. So by having a ‘ball’ as a mouse, they can’t hit because it will bounce back and it is soft so it won’t spoil easily.
About Mouse and Roll page 1:

Brief explanation about the Mouse and Roll, and a holder for your ball so you won’t misplace it. Mouse and Roll can also glow in the dark.
About Mouse and Roll page 2:

Start-up page 1 for redefine mouse:

Tama-Roll is the name that I give for this application. This application is different from others. I want the user to care for their mouse and it is strange why people prefer to have a visual pet where they will care so much compared to the real pet. So, I have decided to make my Mouse and Roll into something that people will care. Thus, I’ve decided to somewhat make it like a tamagotchi. It is not the same but it is somehow similar.
Start-up page 2 for redefine mouse: (Intro)

Examples on how it works:
Being in a shape of an egg, I came up with this idea where they can only view their ‘pet’ on screen. But they CAN'T do so without the Mouse and Roll. User will have to connect the USB cable to the Mouse and Roll in order to view their ‘pet’. From there, they can play games, connect with their friends, change layout and many more!

Change layout:

Thank you for viewing!
I hope you like it. Enjoy rolling!
END.
