A normal person can install Eternabond on a roof in one afternoon. It takes MY fatigued ass over a year, just doing one or two strips at a time...and it's still not done. 🤦♀️ I'm the slowest motherfucker on Earth. I hate it.
Anyway here's what I got done so far. Did 2 sides last year, then 2 sides and a vent this year. Hoping to finish the whole thing by fall.

Front and back yard progress, 7/04/2025
STILL cleaning up those giant piles of tree limbs in the back.
Need to finish the garden expansion and building the neighbor's fence.
The knotweed situation is finally "under control" in the front yard. By that I mean it's still there, but the sprouts are waaay less vigorous than they used to be. There are less of them and they grow much slower. I've been very diligent about mowing and pulling them every single week for the last 3 years and it's actually paying off.

I helped my mom plant some seeds and produce scraps a couple months ago. Having a little garden on her deck has been really good for her, it's getting her up and outdoors every day.

Container garden progress. Currants, sunchokes, strawberries, osoberries, horseradish, and all kinds of other stuff. The slugs decimated all my leafy greens. 😑

I can't afford rabbits or ducks yet, so I decided to ranch worms.
The bin is full of compost, peat moss, bonemeal, sand, dandelions, and shredded newspaper. I'm starting with about 100 random worms, nightcrawlers, and sowbugs I found around the property. I'd like to buy a load of compost worms in the future, but let's see if i can keep these ones alive first.
The worms produce very potent fertilizer that I can use on my crops. I want to stop buying all hay, compost, and manure because so much of it these days is contaminated with herbicides that can really mess up your soil. I'm working towards producing everything I need myself in a closed-loop system.
