The one more episode to sudden middle of the night pipeline is strong and I am weak... Buuuuuut this season 3 is starting off strong ! And I just got far enough to have checked on all the main cast ! Which means more human world shenanigans (very enjoyable, let these parents destroy more murder robots please), a sprinkle of Sasha and Grime Wartwood protection arc and last but certainly not least !!! Confirmation that Marcy is in fact alive and mostly recovered from being stabbed. Although that didn't last long and now she's taken over by that biblically accurate computer thing with all the eyeballs... This can't be good..........

Frog show update : Holy smokes they weren't kidding these colors can true
MARCY GOT STABBED ????! I'LL STRANGLE THAT KING. I'm not even mad at her for being responsible for the isekai-ing she clearly wasn't in good dispositions to think about the weight of her actions at the time (and with how the first big flashback didn't show her except for the fact that the box was her idea, that wasn't out of the blue), I'm just worried as to what will happen to her now. That big vat she's shown in at the tail end of the ending smells like bad news...
Blue Super Saiyan Anne was NOT on my bingo card but I'm here for it. She deserves it after everything that just happened. And it looks like she's going to need it for the final season... At least she gets to go home this time, but there's still a lot to take care of and it ain't gonna be easy, with the music box remaining in Amphibia
As for Sasha... Besides the very cool dual wielding that makes her increasingly slay, I think she's actually starting to learn her lesson. Obviously the coup d'état was not the way to go but she's growing. I think. I hope. She's gonna need to anyway since she's stuck in Amphibia for the time being, and with robot armies around she will have to relinquish kingdom-wide control in favour of putting her strength to good use. I think. I hope.
Season 3 cannot come soon enough but I needed to get my impressions out of my system before watching that

Frog show update : After more screentime, Marcy is now my favorite and if something terrible happens to her I can and will be upset. But not surprised.
The king has something nefarious in his ghost-filled basement, the frobo(t) is back sooner than I expected (showed up last episode I don't know what it will do next), I'm still thinking about the suspiciously Hop pop-shaped dissection frog from that one flashback with Sasha in the human world, and the music box has regained a third of its charge. Solid midpoint so far

Hotel night at the family gathering... My grandma booked rooms for us... My sister got to have her own room with her bf while I'm stuck with our parents... The room's layout is such that I can see the half of their bed my mom is sleeping on, without even a curtain or anything...

I got a couple more episodes further and Marcy has made a great first impression. Both in the flashbacks and the actual episode ! It's nice to see some more of that human to human dynamic and also I gotta hand it to the arm crossbow it's really really cool. I'm excited to see what the new spooky suspiciously king-like figure has in store but mostly I want to see more of that nerd-turned-ranger and her and her spontaneously combusting cape

I should not still be up this late but I wanted to get a headstart in frog show season 2. I like the wagon and more varied environments that provide some new flavour of situations. I like the ominous yet slightly incompetent robot occasionally being shown to follow the gang (he'd better be building up to something big for the mid to late part of the season). I dig the foreboding swordfight flashback with extra mysterious cloaked suspiciously human figure on top they added to the intro. The ball keeps rolling, and rolling well
#last episode I saw was some Sasha catch up#I really like her dynamic with Grime it's surprisingly genuine#I kind of expected some amount of dramatic “you've shown how to manipulate people into liking me”#with some sort of “now you too have fallen for it and are my loyal pawn” and then ironi- tragic toad betrayal#but it seems the power of suspicion island and slob-ification wins (for now)#I am keeping an eye out for dramatic irony but it could very well not happen. this season.#shavie shows#ramblings and musings

After watching this season 1 finale of frog show, I now have thoughts.
1) This show is really cute and has its frog theme down pat. Good jorb
2) Polly should be trusted with nuclear codes. End of discussion
3) Holy shit Sasha cannot end well how is she that manipulative and willing to sacrifice others at 13- nevermind she's 13 that makes sense. But still this is worrying to say the least. Whatever comes up about her next is probably going to be pretty tragic
4) Marcy still hasn't made a single appearance so I'm looking forward to that. How bad can it be.
