Be.A’ s Yeongkyun, A Shot At Seungri? “You told me to learn a trade...As expected, people need humility“

Group Be.A’s member Yeongkyun (28·Jung Yeongkyun*) has left a meaningful message.

On the 1st, Yeongkyun wrote, “You said you’d like a word (with me) as a sunbae and, in front of all of the staff for everyone to see, you said ‘Aren’t we the same age? If you can’t do it to this degree then you should go learn a trade; you have to earn money to be a filial son’ and just left after stabbing the dagger in. And now, how many times have you gone in front of the entire nation” on his personal Instagram account.

He then wrote, “Being a good son is always the best thing to do=) You don’t become a filial son just by earning moneyㅎ People indeed do need to be humble, so thanks for your advice=)"

Furthermore, Yeongkyun also wrote the hashtags #BurningSun #GHB #Prostitution.  

Singer Seungri (28·Lee Seunghyun) was recently questioned by the police regarding suspicion of his involvement with drug usage and prostitution in the Burning Sun scandal. Yeongkyun only vaguely referred to a ‘sunbae’ but it is believed that Seungri is the only person to which he could be referring.

Moving forward

As some might have noticed, BE-A5 has been extremely inactive for the past several months. To be completely honest, for most of that time I’d been considering shutting this blog down altogether and just leaving it as an archive.

I’ve decided, however, not to and plan to continue supporting each of the four members of Be.A throughout their future activities. I hope everyone who follows us -- either here or on Twitter -- will do the same.

As any longtime fan knows, there have been several times over the past 4 years when the group went into hiatus. Each time was marked by various members thanking the fans for staying around and promising that a comeback was in the works at some point in the future. This time, however, things are different.

To those who pay attention, it is obvious that Be.A as a group no longer exists and there are no plans from Chrome Entertainment for moving forward with the remaining 2 parts of the Magical Realism trilogy. Honggyu himself said in an Instagram Live (which, to my knowledge, was not recorded by anyone) that it would be difficult for the group to comeback anytime soon.

I’ll be honest, my frustration with Chrome and my sadness over the loss of what-could-have-been was extreme and this post was originally filled with anger and an accusatory tone--towards the members, towards the company, and towards the CEO. This is a group I have loved and supported since before it was even a group and to see it end in such an underwhelming way definitely hurt. It is because of this that I originally thought to just close the blog altogether and move on with my life.

But why should Honggyu, Yeongkyun, Jaeoh, and Sunghyun lose their fans just because Chrome Entertainment is [redacted] and mismanaged their group?

So instead, I’ve decided to shift directions.

As you may have noticed (or not), we are no longer BE-A5 and we no longer bear the logo of Be.A in out icon. Instead we are now 140107ing and our icon features a leaf--signifying new growth and future potential. 

The name is modeled after a convention of Korean fans and fansites: the -ing suffix denotes the undefined continuation of the blog and signal that we will continue to support the four members just as we have done from the time of their first debut on January 7, 2014. So long as they choose to continue promoting as entertainers, this blog will be here to update their fans about it.

So this is where we stand; no longer a fansite for Be.A, formerly known as K-MUCH, but instead a fansite for Yang Honggyu, Jung Yeongkyun, Kim Jaeoh, and Park Sunghyun. Whether any of the members will choose to give the entertainment career another try or not remains to be seen, but until that time comes we’ll support them either way.

If you’ve stuck with me this long--in every sense of the phrase--I sincerely want to thank you. When I established this blog in 2013 I never imagined that I’d come to care about these 4 boys as much as I do, and the fact that I have so many other to share them with means the world to me.

If anyone has any questions or just wants to talk or vent or rant, our askbox is always open, our Twitter is always open, and we even have a CuriousCat now just because. As usual, things are still under a bit of construction on the blog so if you see anything that looks a little odd, please bear with me and be patient.

180827 MiLLY Instagram Update

Hello fans of both Be.A and myself personally, this is Kim Jaeoh who promoted in the group Be.A under the name MiLLY. It’s a little embarrassing to say these words so suddenly but first of all I apologize for not saying this sooner.

After discussing it personally with both the company and members, I will no longer be promoting as a member of Be.A but rather doing so individually. 

I made this decision because there was a difference in the music I truly wanted to do and the direction (the group’s music) was going in.

Although I am no longer a group’s member, I can be better as a rapper by doing the music I wanted to do and I apologize to those who have been waiting for news to tell you in this manner. 

I will definitely grow as an artist and I will meet you again with awesome music; thank you so much to the fans who have watched over me and loved me all this time. I’ll continue promoting under the name MiLLY!ㅎㅎ
