Ive come up with 2 (3) theories

So here is what he looks like normally. those could be shorts... but are they? I Know the rito armor available in game is clearly fitted to a hylian, but the bottoms of that set give some points for and against revali wearing pants too.

For:

roughly the same color? (at least in my head)

is pants, while being sold as part of rito armor

Against:

has more intricate markings? if i remember correctly... Than what we see on Revali.

is made for a hylian! not a rito.

isn't it described as "rito down"? would a wolf wear a fur coat? does any other hyrule race wear their own dead skin as armor against the elements? (hmm must look into materials of the zoran armor now.. BUT THEY WEAR THAT AS A COURTING RITUAL.. NOT FOR WEATHER OR BATTLE!?)

if it's pants, is revali the only one wearing pants?? with the preening necessary to make rito down armor for every rito, they'd appear to be molting!!! its nowhere near cost/labor effective!

with all of this said... my first conclusion is that his

is just out.

now THIS image is my least favorite option. the theory here is that Them Thangs ARE pants and they also are heavily padded. rito down equal to the weight of one fledgling. absolute bbl pants. underneath is the boniest drumstick windblight has ever had.

THIS is my other theory. they ARE pants, but it's just normal fabric. underneath is feathers, and it isnt padded because rito are naturally ok with the temperature, and the bulk would weigh him down in battle.

thoughts? has this already been figured out? help me.
