Okay so. I bought START AGAIN: A Prologue when it came out, played it, loved it, and then kinda obsessed over it for a bit before I moved on to other things while I waited for the release of In Stars and Time.

And then my brain decided to fixate on these characters again, and I ended up replaying SASASAP for… god, way too long over the span of three days. Just save scumming and trying different things. I ended up writing down lines I liked, and this was one of them! I don’t know why this struck a chord with me so much but it did and I love it.

like I really wanna write an scp character who manages the safe low risk anomalous object storage lol. Archiving and maintaining the sentient novelty pez dispenser and chatting with the vintage talking record player and carefully polishing the antique silver-backed mirror that reflects your soul once a month. Gently but firmly swatting the malicious toy slappy hand when it tries to stick onto her ankle. Probably breaking a few protocols by being friendly with the scps in containment but nobody really cares cause who’s gonna be strict on procedure in the dusty boring minor anomaly storage unit tucked into the corner of a quiet site’s basement??? Cozy mundanity in the midst of the mind bending and the world ending. That’s what I like
