Having fun on tumblr is good and all but if we want Buck and Tommy's story to continue we'll have to put in some work to let the network know there is demand for it. Obviously, the most important things are the ratings and the key demo, it is the general audience who ultimate decide what happens on the show but fandom can still weigh in. ABC checks fans' reaction on all the social media websites, including tumblr, but telling them directly still matters. That includes shudder logging in on twitter and instagram and messaging them or leaving/upvoting positive comments under their posts.

Please, be respectful. Remember, we aren't owed anything. Don't make this parasocial. Don't demand anything. Simply let the network know what fans enjoy and want to see more of.

Don't make it about another ship. Don't be like those people. Don't bring it up at all and don't respond to asshattery. We sit in our own corner and do our own thing. Don't be toxic.

Don't let assholes control the narrative. If we want good queer stories, we can't be passive and expect good things to just happen, we have to be loud. Don't let anyone bully you just because you happen to enjoy something they don't. Your opinions and interests are no less valid than anyone else's. We need to carve out space for ourselves on every website and freely enjoy what we want within that space.

And while you're at it, might as well thank Lou for his work (LouFerrignoJr on twitter) because the usual crowd is being nasty to him.

Ok I love Chimney and Kenneth as much as the next guy, but if the writers are going to push so hard for Chim to be this huge nerd, SOMEONE SHOULD TEACH KENNETH HOW TO PRONOUNCE THE NERDY REFERENCES! “Kobayashi Maru” kills me every. Damn. Time.

I rarely answer my telephone, often forget to check voicemail, and can take a shockingly long time to return phone calls. So sue me. The telephone is intrusive, especially for introverts, whose brains don’t switch gears all that quickly. When we’re deep in thought, a ringing telephone is like a shrieking alarm clock in the morning. And we often give bad phone—awkward, with pauses. We struggle without visual cues, and our tendency to ponder before we talk doesn’t play well on the telephone. Being stuck on a too-long call makes me want to chew off my own leg to escape. Sometimes, if I’m feeling devil-may-care, I’ll pick up calls from far-flung friends who want to catch-up, But I more often let them go to voicemail and then make a date (via email) for us to talk. My friends understand. Dislike of the phone is often presented as a moral failing. But honestly, it’s not the people on the phone we dislike, it’s the instrument of delivery.
