Hey guys, so I’ve seen some posts around about daily routines so I thought I’d share my own. I consider myself to be great at being productive even early in the morning, and here’s how I achieve that. Hope this is helpful, and feel free to ask me questions if you have any!

OneNote is literally god’s gift to this earth. [ header art ]
I downloaded OneNote onto my mac air through my school’s office365 [which is a microsoft email login thing but is easily accessible on any kind of device and you can just delete the email acc later if you want]. OneNote can be accessed on a laptop, computer or ipad/tablet. i believe OneNote is available on the appstore as well?
I use OneNote as a digital bullet journal / planner and to write down all my study notes. i also have actual books for my study notes but i tend to prefer OneNote.
OneNote is super easy to use! think of it like an actual book:
1. DESIGNING THE COVER
When you open OneNote for the first time it will ask you to create a Notebook. You can name it whatever you wish and even choose the colour of it! You can have as many Notebooks as you like, so go wild !!
2. CHAPTERS
In your Notebook, you can have “chapters”, called sections or tabs. Depending on whether you use OneNote as a bujo or for study notes, these tabs can look like this:
3. PAGES
Time to fill your chapters! These pages will contain all of your content. Whether that’s a weekly spread in your bujo or a page on DNA molecules in your humanbio Notebook. You can have as many as you want! Pages on OneNote tend to look like this:
Once you click on which page you want, it’ll open !
4. SPREADS [for planners]
Spreads are completely personalised and customised depending on you! Anything you do in your physical bujo you can do on OneNote. Habit checker? Tables? Homework diary? Inspirational quotes? Cute doodles? Day-to-Day planner?
This is just an example of mine, you can do WHATEVER YOU WANT with yours !!
5. STUDY NOTES
My study notes are basically just what my teacher says during class or puts on the board, which is why they’re almost always in bullet point form like this:
But obviously, you can edit your notes to be however you’d like them !!
6. OTHER INFO
One feature i really like about one note is the fact you can make the paper look like whatever you want. such as blank paper, margined + lined paper, graph paper etc. this is really helpful when writing notes and especially drawing diagrams !!
also, across the top is literally everything you’ll ever need.
IN CONCLUSION:
Please download OneNote !! it’s so user-friendly and customisable. I was honestly shocked that more people weren’t using OneNote in the studyblr community. It’s such a lifesaver near test + exam time because all of your notes are in one place !!
also, OneNote autosaves and doesnt close if you close your laptop [as long as you’re not logged out or the computer is shut down] so you’ll never lose your work !!
HERE is another post about me yelling about OneNote lmao
If you have any questions or problems, feel free to ask !! ((-:

Study Tricks from Pyschology

Inadvertently I’ve been picking up quite a few study hacks from my psychology class.
There’s a difference between recognizing something as familiar and actually understanding it. Whenever we study, we sometimes see a topic and remember talking about it or reading about, but we don’t actually remember it. However, because it triggers some memory, we just tend to skip over it and not review it. Be extra careful.
Typing is an ineffective way to take notes because we can often type faster than we can write. When we write, because it takes longer, we are often struggling to find the shortest way to transcribe information. This forces our brain to spend more time on the content.
Repeating something is NOT a good way to get it in your long-term memory. It’s actually something called maintenance rehearsal, and it will keep whatever you’re repeating in your head for a little bit, but not permanently. So when you’re studying, reading the same page over and over again or repeating a definition dozens of time won’t actually do anything. The way to get something into your long term memory is called elaborate rehearsal. It’s when you actually understand the meaning of something and make connections between it and prior knowledge.
One theory of why we need sleep is that it consolidates our memory. Basically, during our sleep our brain (theoretically) takes the information from the day and shifts it into long-term memory. This means that if you study right before you sleep, you have a better chance of retaining that information.
It turns out that we cannot actually multitask. Sometimes I am so pressed for time that I try to study while doing other things, but this just means I will do both tasks poorly.

i took ap hugs 2016, so i figured that making a post for it would be helpful for those of you taking ap human geography this year :)
official college board page for ap hugs
official college board home page for ap hugs
released free-response questions
course description
course overview
classes that will help you: geography, social studies, environmental science, history
tips:
people may say that this is the “easiest ap course” but that doesn’t mean you can slack off and not study. i wouldn’t suggest cramming for this a week before the exam. (then again, i wouldn’t suggest doing that for any ap exam)
it’s important to know your ap regions + world countries in those regions.
a lot of the exam is based on vocab + models + theories, so be sure to know those well. there’s quite a bit of vocab and some of them can get a bit confusing too.
the models and theories usually show up in the free-response questions, so make sure that you can analyze a situation and apply a model/theory to it.
you could probably self-study this course, but i would suggest taking the course in class. it’s so much more helpful to have an experienced teacher explain the concepts to you more simply + answer any questions you might have.
i’d recommend using princeton if you’re planning to get an ap prep book. barron’s tends to go into unnecessary detail (and princeton does as well, but to a lesser degree).
ap hugs course notes ap hugs big idea packet ap hugs powerpoints exam review study guide prezi on models / theories quizlet set on models / theories powerpoint on models / theories study guide on models / theories note packet world geography games exam vocabulary vocab - rubenstein textbook general ap hugs flashcards midterm review video + final exam review video ap hugs practice test - quia ap hugs practice test 2010 - quia ap hugs practice test 2011 - quia self tests barron’s practice exam online practice quiz ap hugs test score calculator (not 100% accurate) ap hugs free response answering strategies ap hugs grand review
hope this helped and good luck! if you’d like to request a post, go here and if you’d like to see more helpful posts, go here!! thanks :)
