Someone over on BSky suggested I do Ace of Hearts, but human! So, I rolled with it.

(BTW, Henry is just my option for a human name for Husk–)

Amy was her lively & sassy young self, while Husk (Henry) had his bar and mostly kept to himself. That is... Until she appeared. Amy was, for whatever reason or another, drawn in by Henry. Was it his charm? His sense of humor? Perhaps.

Either way, the two became friends quite quickly. Even though he was older & wiser, he knew he was slipping up. Her laugh, her smile, her cute freckles adorning her features... The way her chest looked in that crop top he liked–

Oh. Henry realized he fell hard. Amy did, too. Makes sense why she went there every day to see him. She didn't always drink liquor, but she drank in the sight of Henry... 😊🩷🖤

Bird in a Golden Cage (Overlord AU)

In this "Ace of Hearts" AU, Husk & Amy are both Overlords. Amy performs in Husk's casino & uses hypnosis through song to get people to stay in his casino longer & spend money.

She sings "House of the Rising Sun." Her voice sounds incredibly haunting, yet beautiful. She & Husk work on a set list of songs for her to sing every 2 nights a week, including "House of the Rising Sun."

Husk's nickname for Amy is "My Hummingbird" or "Songbird." He got her a custom-made hair clip that's in the shape of a hummingbird... Made of ruby, her birthstone.
